Chapter 13
Chapter 13 (Parks, Beaches, and Movies Oh My)

Chapter Description: A new day has arrived. First task of the morning, escape from crib and ask Brian what we’re gonna do this morning.

Date: Thursday 09-Dec-21 06:39 (Thursday, December 9, 2021, 6:39 AM)
Location: Brian’s Residence, Skyward Villas Apartments, Kirkwood, Missouri, United States of America
My eyes snap open and smile at the ceiling of my bedroom. The gentle warmth of the heater allows my purple T-shirt to flutter as I sit up on my padded bottom. I giggle as I glance down to my Pampers Baby Dry diaper whilst hissing echoes around me, “I’m so happy. I wonder if Brian’s up.”
I jump to my feet and waddle over to my crib bars, “Now where is that latch?” I turn to my left and smile at the golden latch holding the right crib bars to the foot crib bar. I waddle over to the latch whilst the hissing fades and flick it with my index finger causing the crib bars to slide down to the floor. I jump out of my crib and giggle as my bedroom’s tile floor tickles my bare feet.
“I love being a tot and being in this awesome parallel world.” I waddle into the hallway and turn left toward Brian’s bedroom. I peek through the doorway and giggle as I watch Brian slide a green T-shirt over his head to accompany his blue jeans. Before he can grab his sweater, I waddle-run into his bedroom and wrap my arms around his waist, “GOOD MORNING, BRIAN!”
Brian smiles down at my tiny hands and peels me off him, “Good morning, Stacey.” He turns and kneels to pull me into a warm hug whilst patting my padded bottom, “Did you sleep good?”
“Uh huh! Uh huh!” I giggle when Brian releases me from the hug with a nose boop and turns to his bed to grab his green sweater, “Brian?”
Brian pokes his head through his sweater and turns to me with a smile as he threads his arms through, “What’s up?”
“I wanna go somewhere.” My eyes follow Brian as he exits his bedroom and I waddle after him. When he stops at the bathroom, I sway back and forth on my little feet, “I got three ideas, Brian.”
“Oh?” Brian hums as he washes his hands and then moves to brush his teeth, “What-did-you-have-in-mind?”
I giggle as I push the bathroom door, but it doesn’t bulge, “Brian I couldn’t understand what you said. Are you brushing your teefs?”
Brian spits out the toothpaste and rinses his mouth with water. After he spits out the water, he wipes his mouth and turns to the door, “I just finished. Sorry.” Brian opens the bathroom door and ruffles my hair, “You need to brush your teeth too.”
       I shake my head, “Nuuu…”
Brian kneels as I stomp my feet and takes note of the yellow-green wetness indicator on my Pampers, “I think you’re cranky.”
I cross my arms and pout, “Am not.”
Brian lifts me into his arms and heads toward my bedroom, “All toddlers get cranky when they’re wet.” Brian lays me down on the changing table and grabs a fresh Pampers Cruisers diaper from the two stacks of diapers. He sets it down to my left next to the baby powder and wipes, “I’ll get you changed and then you can brush your teeth.”
I turn from Brian and continue pouting as I hear the tapes rip, “Nuuuu…no teef brush.” I giggle when Brian tickles my foot and unfastens my soaked diaper, “HEY!”
Brian smiles as he lifts my legs to slide it away and works on getting me dry whilst tossing the old wipes into my old diaper, “I told you, you were cranky.”
I pout and wag my tongue at Brian as he lowers my legs so he can roll my old diaper into a ball. “Humph.”
Brian chuckles as he holds my legs with his left hand and powders my uplifted bottom with his right hand, “Nothing a fresh diaper can’t fix. So, where were you wanting to go?”
I yawn and rub my eyes as Brian sets the powder down and flicks the new diaper unfolded, “I wanted…” I smile when the soft diaper contacts my bottom and is brought up to my belly. I smile at the alphabet blocks decorating the diaper’s shell and giggle as Brian secures the left tape, “I wanted to go to the park, go to the beach, and go to the movies.”
Brian’s eyes widen as he secures the right tape and lifts me into his arms, “Oh my.” He sets me on my feet with a loving pat to my freshly diapered bottom and heads toward the bathroom to wash his hands, “I’m sure you can handle getting dressed.”
I turn to my changing table drawers and stand on my toes so I can open the top drawer, “I guess…I…um…” I shut the top drawer and turn toward my crib to grab a long sleeve green sweater. I slide it over my purple T-shirt and waddle into the hallway, “Brian…where are you?”
“Bathroom.” Brian dries off his hands and shuts off the sink, “Did you put on some socks and shoes?”
“Awww…” I waddle back into my bedroom and grab my black tennis shoes with the black socks inside. I slide onto my padded bottom and proceed to put on my socks and shoes. I stare at the laces and kick my feet in frustration, “BRIIIIIAN!” Tears swim in my eyes as I stand up and turn toward my doorway to find Brian standing there with worry in his eyes.
Brian walks over to me and kneels to kiss my forehead, “What’s wrong, Stacey?”
I stomp my feet, “I can’t do iiiit…I hate tennis shoes!”
Brian kneels and works on double knot tying my shoes, “It’s okay, that’s why Big Brother is here. I keep you changed and tie your shoes. It’s part of my job as an older brother. Also,” Brian finishes tying my shoe and pulls me into a hug whilst patting my diapered bottom, “my job is to keep you happy.”
I giggle as I snuggle into Brian’s hug, “Thankies, Brian!”
Brian brings me out of the hug and pokes my nose, “You’re welcome.” He darts his eyes across my outfit and notices my sweater stops at my belly button, doing nothing to hide the Pampers Baby Dry diaper hugging my waist, “Where’s your pants, Stace?”
“Don’t need them.” I cross my arms and pout, “They just get in the way.”
Brian pulls his phone from his pocket and activates the weather app. He turns his phone to me, “Look.”
My eyes widen at the temperature: 37°F “WHAT?!” I turn back to my changing table and stomp my foot as I pull a pair of blue jeans hanging over the edge down to my feet, “Stoopid Winter!”
Brian chuckles as he watches me step into my jeans and struggle to pull them up to the crinkly waistband of my Pampers Baby Dry diaper, “You know, you could have asked me to take your shoes off first…but you got there.”
I stomp my foot and pout, “I wanted to go to the beach.” I sigh as I scan the floor and my belly growls, “But we live in Missouri, there aren’t any beaches here.” I waddle toward the bathroom and push my stepladder toward the sink. I stop moments after my hand reaches my toothbrush, “FOOD!”
I waddle into the kitchen to grab two andouille sausages links from the package in the fridge. I wrap each in a paper towel and carry them toward the microwave.
Brian enters the kitchen and chuckles as he watches me waddle over to the counter to the right of the fridge to grab two hot dog buns right as the microwave beeps, “Hungry huh?”
Silence is my answer as I slide the andouille sausages into the buns on the plate and waddle toward the fridge to grab the barbecue sauce. I smile as I squeeze a couple lines of the sweet honey barbecue sauce across the sausage. I lick my lips seconds after I squeeze the bun so it hugs the sausage.
I giggle as I waddle into the dining room and set my plate in front of the seat in direct eyesight of the kitchen counter. I crawl onto the chair and whimper when I realize I can’t see my plate.
Brian walks over and lifts me into his arms, “I got it.” He grabs my booster from the chair to his right and sets it in the chair I was just sitting in. “There.” Brian sets me in the chair and ruffles my hair.
I smile toward Brian, then return my attention to my food, “FOOD!” I giggle as begin devouring the andouille sausages. After finishing off one, I waddle into the kitchen to grab a 32-ounce baby bottle of lemonade. I smile wide as I waddle back into the dining room to drink my lemonade and finish my breakfast.

I giggle as I set my second empty bottle down and hissing carries the first out of my body. I turn to Brian with a barbecue sauce lipped smile and jump out of my chair, “Okay, now I’m full. Let’s go!” I waddle-run toward the front door.
Brian rushes after me and before I can make it to the door, he lifts me into the air. He giggles as my legs keep running and he turns me so I’m facing him while he holds me out at arm’s length, “Not so fast, Stacey.”
I giggle as Brian carries me to the bathroom and sets me in front of the sink. I smile as a baby wipe sails across my face, “Brian?”
Brian tosses the baby wipe in the diaper pail and grabs my toothbrush, “Now it’s teeth brushing time.” He runs the brush under water and squeezes a small drop of toothpaste on it. “I guess you wanted to eat first huh?”
I smile toward Brian and nod as I brush my teeth, “I-hate-the-taste.-It-messes-up-everything.” I spit out the toothpaste and fill up a cup of water. I swish the water around in my mouth to banish the mint flavor. I spit the water out and smile at Brian, showing off my clean baby teeth, “Heee…I’m ready now!”
Brian swings my diaper bag over his shoulder and scoops me into his arms, “Alrighty then.” He heads toward the front door and smiles at the sun that bathes the hallway from the glass ceiling above. “So where did you want to go first?”
I smile toward Brian as he carries me toward the elevator, “Well…since we’d have to book a flight to go to the beach, I guess the park and movies are good options. We can go to the beach later.”

Brian chuckles as he enters the parking lot whilst patting my padded bottom, “Maybe we can go to the beach next week.”
“Why next week?” My lower lip puffs out as Brian opens his minivan door and sets me in my car seat.
Brian boops my nose and secures my five-point harness, “I have to make plans, Silly. If we’re going to the beach, it’s not just going to be a one-day thing, we’d have to make a vacation out of it.” Brian ruffles my hair and shuts the sliding door.
“Oh…” I swing my legs as Brian hops into the driver’s seat and slowly leaves the parking lot, “Hmm…” I rub my chin, “I guess we could go to Forest Park.”
Brian nods and smiles back at me through the rear-view mirror as he cruises toward the highway, “And what would you wanna do in Forest Park?”
I giggle and swing my legs whilst my Pampers crinkle beneath my jeans, “I wanna play tag and stuff with you of course. The park is lots bigger than our apartment you know.”
Brian chuckles as he fully focuses on the road ahead, “You’ve got a point.”

Location: Forest Park Playground, Forest Park, St. Louis, Missouri, United States of America
My eyes widen at the upside-down spiral jungle gym, swing sets, slides, and sandboxes passing us as Brian searches for a parking spot, “WOW! When did they build this, Brian?”
Brian ruffles my hair and turns into the parking lot resting a good three yards away from the playground entrance, “It’s been here a while, you just never asked me to bring you to the playground part of the park.” Brian shuts off his minivan and rises from the driver’s seat to approach my side.
I giggle and swing my legs as Brian opens the sliding door, “I’m so happy!”
Brian presses the button to release my five-point harness and lifts me into his arms, “I know.” Brian sets me on my feet and holds my left hand as he walks toward the playground while the minivan door closes and locks behind him.
I smile wide as the playground comes into view. I stop at the entrance and scan the equipment before me. To my left rests two sandboxes with four toddlers each building castles, to the right of the sandcastles is a vast cobblestone pathway that leads toward a jungle gym on the right and swing sets on the left. I waddle further down the path whilst swinging Brian’s arm and spot more swing sets on the left and a volleyball court on the right holding a match between five toddlers and two teenage boys.
“This is so cool!” I smile toward Brian and poke his belly, “TAG!” I let go of Brian’s hand and waddle-run down the cobblestone path.
Brian chuckles as he runs after me, “Stacey! Don’t run so fast!”
My giggles echo across the playground as the gentle wind rushes through my afro and my sweater flutters, keeping me warm in the cold temperatures. “This is so much fun!” I glance behind me, “WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!” and my squeals of delight roar toward Brian as he gains ground.

Date: Thursday 09-Dec-21 10:31 (Thursday, December 9, 2021, 10:31 AM)
Location: Forest Park Playground, Forest Park, St. Louis, Missouri, United States of America
I giggle and duck behind a bush right as Brian walks past it, “Heee…he’ll never find me.”
Brian sighs and squats with his hands on his knees as he catches his breath, “Man, I haven’t run like that in a while. Stacey…Stacey sure has a lot of energy for a four-year-old. I mean it makes sense; most toddlers have all that energy. That also makes sense why I haven’t seen anyone over the age of thirty out here with these tots. You need all the energy…”
I jump out of the bush with my hands high above my head shaped like claws, “RAAAAAAAWR!”
Brian collapses on his bottom and his eyes widen, “WHOA! Stacey…don’t…don’t scare me like that.” Brian chuckles as he rises to his full height and ruffles my hair, “This is fun though.” Brian kneels and pokes my belly, “What do you wanna do now?”
I dart my eyes across the playground and sigh at how crowded it’s become since our playtime began, “I wanted to play on the swings, but it’s really crowded now.” I waddle over to Brian and wrap my arms around his waist whilst hissing carries my second bottle out of my body. I whimper and bury my head in his belly, “I don’t like crowds.”
Brian pats my bottom and rises with me held close to his chest, “Well, the movie theaters just opened. We can go see a movie if you want.”
I rest my head over Brian’s shoulder and smile as he carries me toward the parking lot, “Yeah. That would be nice.” I squirm seconds after Brian sets me in my car seat, “Um…Brian…”
       Brian ruffles my hair, “Yeah?”
I press my index fingers together and squirm as hissing echoes around me and fades, “I need changies.”
“Okay.” Brian lifts me out of my car seat and walks over to the left side of the van to lay me down on the changing mat. “Did you have fun this morning?” Brian slides my jeans down and sets them on the floor of the van. He chuckles at the faded alphabet blocks and unfastens my soaked Pampers Cruisers diaper.
I giggle as Brian slides the soaked diaper away, “Uh huh.” and works to get me dry whilst tossing the old wipes into my old diaper. “Tag was lots more fun out here.”
Brian chuckles as he tosses the last wipe and lowers my legs so he can roll my old diaper into a ball, “I’ll bet.” He lifts my legs with his left hand and powders my uplifted bottom with his right hand, “Have you decided on what movie you wanted to see?”
I rub my chin as Brian closes the baby powder and flicks a new Pampers Cruisers diaper unfolded, “I dunno yet. I guess we’ll see when we get there.” I smile when I feel the softness of a new diaper and I boop Brian’s nose as he brings the smiling veggie decorated shell up to my belly, “Brian?”
Brian brings the left wing toward the purple heart Pampers picture strip and secures the left tape, “Yeah.”
I giggle as Brian secures the right tape and I kick my legs allowing my fresh diaper to crinkle, “Do I gotta wear pants to the movies?”
Brian folds up my jeans and lays them down next to the baby powder and Pampers Complete Baby wipes, “I guess not, Stacinator. You look like a two-year-old anyway, and I saw plenty of those tots waddling around in shirts and diapers while they were playing with their friends.”
“True.” I giggle as I crawl over to my car seat and sit down while Brian washes his hands, “That’s another benefit of being the size of a two-year-old…even though I’m four. Heee…”
“Yep.” Brian secures my five-point harness and sets my diaper bag on the floor of the minivan. He rises and presses a button on his key fob resulting in both sliding doors closing as he gets in the driver’s seat. “Off to the movies we go.”
I smile and swing my legs whilst my Pampers crinkle, “YAY! This morning has turned out to be the bestest ever! Can’t wait to see what movies are showing…”

Sheesh, i’m glad I live in Houston with its wacky yet warm weather! I tend to hate tennis shoes too so I usually wear sandals, slides, or just plain flip flops xp. I was also hoping to see Stacey interact with some of the other kids at the playground, but I get not liking big crowds. :[ Also, Stacey you must be out of your mind!! If it wasn’t already cold outside then it would def be cold in the movie theaters, I couldn’t imagine only being in a diaper and shirt. Same goes for the other tots running around at the park with no pants, they are sure to catch a cold hehe.
