Chapter 2
Chapter 2 (Revealing The Surprise)

Chapter Description: After Thanksgiving Dinner, Brian rewards me with a surprise and some questions. I’m thankful for the surprise, but the questions…I can’t answer with full truth just as yet. I’ve gotta think fast on my little feet for an answer to those.

Date: Thursday 25-Nov-21 11:02 (Thursday, November 25, 2021, 11:02 AM)
Location: Brian’s Residence, Skyward Villas Apartments, Kirkwood, Missouri, United States of America
I turn to Brian and giggle as I waddle over to the living room couch, “So Brian…do you think you’d be able to care for a toddler like me? I…kinda don’t have anywhere to go. I…uh…used that program and it dropped me here for Thanksgiving, but I don’t see an app on my phone that would turn me back to an adult so I can’t exactly go back to my adult life. Not that I want too.”
Brian pulls me into a warm hug and alternates between rubbing my back and patting my bottom, “It might take me a little while to get adjusted to caring for a toddler full time.” Brian rises with me resting against his chest. He bounces me in his hold as I wrap my arms around his neck and rest my head over his shoulder, “But I think I can do it. I’ve handled far more stressful things.”
Brian walks over to the doors at the right of the living room and turns the knob of the third door. He smiles at the nursery greeting his eyes and pats my bottom. “I think you’ll get adjusted just fine. I had decorated this room as a backup plan just in case something like this happened.” Brian sets me on my feet in the doorway with my back to my new room, “You wanna see it?”
I smile toward Brian, “Yeah. I…I just…” My smile fades into a concerned gaze, “Are you gonna be able to…”
Brian boops my nose, quieting my thought, “Boop. Don’t worry about it. Just turn around.”
I turn around and my eyes widen at the purple walls. “WOW!” In my direct eyesight is a brown oak railed crib with a brown oak changing table at its foot. I waddle toward the changing table whilst my Pampers Cruisers wetness indicator changes from green to yellow-green as some of my bottles leave my body with an accompany hissing noise.
I turn to my left and spot a computer desk resting to the right of the crib, “Wow!” Resting atop the computer desk is a 19.5-inch Acer monitor and a Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop along with a CORSAIR IRONCLAW gaming mouse, “Cool! It’s like what I had in my old world.”
I glance down to the sea blue themed tile floor and spin around to Brian with a smile, “Thankies.”
Brian smiles and gives me a thumbs-up, “Denis and I worked on this for a couple weeks. I figured if you ever wanted to spend the night over. I guess now’s a good time to put it to use huh?”
“Yeah.” I waddle over to my changing table and find that below the soft, white changer top rests two drawers and a shelf. I kneel to the shelf and spot two boxes of Pampers Cruisers size 6: 144 count. I rise to my feet and open the bottom drawer where I find Nivea lotion, ten purple T-shirts, ten pairs of white socks and ten pairs of black socks, and ten pairs of rolled blue jeans.
I shut the bottom drawer and stand on my toes to open the top drawer. I giggle when I realize I can’t see inside, “Brian…help.”
Brian chuckles as he lifts me into the air and sets me on my changing table so I can see inside the drawer, “Better?”
“Uh huh!” I lie on my belly and smile as I scan the inside of the top drawer. Three bottles of baby powder, three boxes of Pampers Complete baby wipes, and two bottles of Nivea lotion can be found while purple felt material lines the first drawer just as the second. “Wow…” I smile toward Brian and giggle as I sit up so I can wrap my arms around his neck, “You said you’d have to adjust.” I giggle and break free of the hug, “I think you’re already adjusted.”
Denis pokes his head in the doorway of my new bedroom, “Brian, I put the food in the fridge for you. I’m gonna head out.”
Brian turns to Denis while ruffling my hair, “Alright, Denis. Have a safe trip.”
“I will.” Denis walks over and boops my nose, “I’m sure you and Brian will do great together. Now my little bro will get some more childcare experience, and you’ll have your brother back and be around him every day.”
I giggle and nod as I lie down on my back, “Yeah.” I smile at the comfy changer’s mattress-like feel, “The changing table is really comfy.” I smile toward Brian and boop his nose, “I got a question.” My ears perk up as that hissing noise echoes around me whilst my Pampers wetness indicator shifts to yellow. I sit up on the changing table and poke Brian’s nose while the hissing noise ramps up as the remaining bottles leave my body, “Huh? What’s that noise?” My ears flicker as the noise fades, “Maybe I’ll ask Brian later.”
Brian smiles as he gently pushes me onto my back, “Did you have a fun Thanksgiving?” He grabs a fresh Pampers Cruisers diaper from the stack of ten resting at the edge of the changing table with the baby powder and Pampers Complete baby wipes.
I smile toward Brian and giggle, “Yeah. What about you?”
Brian lightly taps me on the head with the diaper, “I had a good time.”
I giggle and kick my legs allowing my Pampers to crinkle, “Okay.”
Denis giggles as Brian unfastens my soaked diaper and lifts my legs to slide it away, “Yeah…” Denis smiles as he watches his brother work at getting me dry whilst tossing the used wipes into my old diaper that’s resting out of range of my kicking feet, “I think you’ll do fine, Stacey, Brian.” He leaves through the front door and heads down the hallway to the elevator.
Brian chuckles as he tosses the last wipe and lowers my legs so he can roll my old diaper into a ball, “That wasn’t too bad.” He tapes the diaper ball shut and grabs the baby powder. He lifts my legs with his left hand and powders my uplifted bottom with his right.
I giggle as the sweet talc smell wafts toward my nose, “What I tell ya, Brian? I knew you could do it.” I rub my eyes as Brian sets the baby powder down to my right. “Brian…” I grab the baby powder, “You forgot to…”
Brian grabs the fresh Pampers Cruisers diaper and flicks it unfolded, “I forgot to what?” He slides the new diaper under my bottom and brings the green circle decorated shell up to my belly, “What did I forget?” Brian secures the left tape, “I did the powder, and now I’m taping up your new diaper.”
I fumble with the baby powder bottle and my eyes widen when I squeeze it causing baby powder to fly into Brian’s face. I giggle as Brian coughs and opens his eyes, “Sorry.”
Brian chuckles as he secures the right tape of my diaper and lifts me to my freshly padded bottom, “Now I know what I forgot.”
I giggle and poke Brian’s nose with my index finger, “You look like a ghost, Brian.” I scoot closer to him whilst my fresh Pampers Cruisers crinkle and sniff, “And you smell nice too.”
Brian lifts me into his arms and boops my nose with his baby powder covered finger, “Yeah, and you smell like baby powder too, Baby Brother. Come on, I need another shirt.”
I giggle and wrap my arms around Brian’s neck. I rest my head over his shoulder whilst his loving bottom pats and gentle hum brings a smile to my face as he carries me toward his bedroom. “This was the best Thanksgiving Day EVER!”
I smile when Brian opens his door to reveal his bedroom layout: a five-drawer dresser to the left of the door, a closet to the right of the door... I giggle as Brian sets me on my feet in the middle of his bedroom with a loving bottom pat, “Sorry about that, Brian.” I turn to my right and spot his king-sized bed with green sheets resting in between the dresser and the wall. I turn toward his closet and see a wicker clothes hamper to the right of the closet door.
Brian slides his sweater off and tosses it toward his hamper, “It’s alright, Stacey. It was just an accident.” He smiles at the fact that his green T-shirt is unscathed and walks over to his closet.
I waddle over to Brian and wrap my arms around his leg as he searches through his closet for another sweater, “Brian?”
Brian grabs a purple sweater and glances down to me. He withholds a chuckle at me sitting down while holding onto his leg, “Stace…I can’t move.”
“Sorry…” I rise to my feet and giggle as I poke Brian’s belly, “I’m just so happy and silly.”
Brian chuckles as he slides his purple sweater over his head, “Oh? And why is that?” He threads his arms through and pops his head through the top and seconds later feels a weight against his belly. He glances down to me with a smile and ruffles my hair.
I giggle and smile toward Brian, showing off my mouthful of baby teeth, “I’m happy cause I’m not an adult no more. No more worries about my future. No more worries about degrees and jobs and bills.”
I break free of the hug and waddle around Brian’s bedroom, “This is the bestest thing ever!”
Brian walks over to me as I stop in front of his bedside table resting to the right of his bed, “What are you doing now?”
I giggle as I shut off the lamp and turn to Brian with a big smile, “Nothing.” I waddle over to Brian and when he kneels in front of me, I boop his nose, “Boop.”
Brian pulls me into a warm hug and rises with me on his hip, “So, I got a question for you.”
I dart my eyes around Brian’s apartment as he carries me toward the living room, “What?” I giggle as he sits on the couch with me in his lap.
Brian pokes my belly, “Well the obvious, how did you just become a toddler?”
I bow my head and scan the hardwood floor. I can’t just tell him that I went to a random childhood revitalization website that just randomly turned me into a toddler. I gotta think of a better way of explaining this than that. Until then…I raise my head and run a hand through my afro, “I…I dunno. The last thing I remember is talking to a friend about being a toddler again and…and…then I woke up at your doorstep with a diaper bag. You saw that right?”
Brian rubs the back of his head, “Yeah I did…that doesn’t explain why Denis and I had the random idea to build a nursery in the empty room last month.” Brian pokes my belly and smiles when I giggle, “I mean when you always talked about being a toddler and Denis joked about making a toddler room in my apartment…I just didn’t expect to build it and then you show up as a toddler a week later for Thanksgiving.”
I giggle and rise in Brian’s lap, “Well I guess it was a happy coincidence.” I wobble and lean forward, “Whoa…”
Brian steadies me in his lap with his strong hands resting under my armpits and sets me in his lap, “How about you just sit in my lap instead of standing?”
I smile toward Brian and boop his nose, “Yeah, I um…” I train my eyes on the tile floor and clap my bare feet together whilst crinkles echo around me, “Um…” I jump out of Brian’s lap and waddle toward the TV, “can we watch SpongeBob?”
Brian grabs the remote from the center cushion and points it at the TV, “Sure.”
I giggle as SpongeBob SquarePants’ theme song begins to echo across the living room. I pump my fists and shake my bottom in my attempt to dance along with the captain. “SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!” I jump in the air and giggle as I spin on my toes with each “SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!” I giggle as the captain starts laughing and I turn to Brian with a wide baby tooth filled grin, “Heee…I always wanted to do that.”
Brian nods as he watches me waddle over to him and rest my hands on his knees, “You’re such a cute little kiddo.” Brian lifts me into his lap and chuckles as I rest my head on his chest while SpongeBob’s adventure with Patrick from Glove World begins. He trades giggles with me as we watch SpongeBob’s antics at Rock Bottom and Brian can’t help but smile at me enjoying my show from the comfort of his lap. I never would have thought this would be happening, but I’m glad Stacey’s happy. He seems a lot happier, more so than we were when we were at Forest Park a couple months ago.

I yawn as the credits for the SpongeBob marathon flash on the screen. “Brian?” Another yawn leaves my lips and I rub my eyes free of the sleepy tears inching down my face.
Brian turns me in his lap and hugs me close so he can rise from the couch, “I think you’re ready for a nap.” Brian walks toward my new bedroom and sets me on my feet in front of my crib. “Today has been fun huh?”
I yawn and rub my eyes whilst raising my arms to Brian, “Yush!”
Brian withholds a chuckle at my baby talk and lifts me into his arms, “Yep. You’re a cutiepie.”
I giggle and snuggle close to Brian, “I know.” I turn to my crib and rub my eyes as Brian slides a finger into the cuff of my Pampers. I turn to Brian and my eyes widen, “HEY!”
Brian chuckles and kisses my forehead as he tucks me into bed for my nap, “Just checking. Another thing you’ll get used too with your new size right?”
I yawn and stretch whilst smiling toward Brian as my eyes droop, “Yeah…”
Brian smiles as he stands next to my crib bars and watches me fight with nap time, “Have a good nap, Little Brother.”
I reach toward Brian and boop his nose as I shut my eyes, “Love you……Brian.”
Brian caresses my hair as my breathing evens out as I succumb to nap time, “This is going to be an interesting new life for me…and for my best friend whose now my baby brother.” Brian sighs with a smile as he heads toward the kitchen to grab a slice of the pumpkin pie, “Yep, this is gonna be interesting and fun.”
