Chapter 9
Chapter 9 (Brian’s Mom Comes To Visit)

Chapter Description: Chapter 9: Brian’s Mom comes to visit Brian. When he tells her he’s been caring for a kid since Thanksgiving though, she’s curious as to that kid is. During her chat with Brian, she sees a little kid’s head peeking from behind a door. She goes to investigate and gains an adorable son in the process.

Date: Sunday 05-Dec-21 10:46 (Sunday, December 5, 2021, 10:46 AM)
Location: Brian’s Residence, Skyward Villas Apartments, Kirkwood, Missouri, United States of America
I giggle as I sway side to side allowing my purple T-shirt to flutter and my Pampers Cruisers crinkle while I speed my Audi TT through the Alpental racetrack on Need for Speed: SHIFT, “I’ve missed this game. I’m actually surprised that I still can play it with my hands being smaller than they used to be.”
I jump out of my seat when my car speeds through the finish line, “FIRST PLACE! YAY!” When the game drops to the main menu, my ears flicker and pick up Brian’s voice. I waddle toward my door and rest my ear against the wall…
       ……
A cream skinned woman steps through the door whilst her straight, red hair bounces against her blue T-shirt. She slides her Samsung Galaxy S20 into her jeans pocket and blinks her blue eyes at Brian, “So Brian, how have you been?” This woman adjusting her pink rimmed glasses is none other than Sarah O’Brien, Brian’s mother.
Brian smiles and rubs the back of his head as he heads into the kitchen, “I’ve been good. Thanksgiving was fun. Denis and I had a good time. What about you and Dad?”
Sarah sits down on the couch and sighs as she darts her eyes around the living room, “We had a good time.” She withholds a giggle at the plush blocks and toy cars sprawled across the living room floor, “Brian? Where’d all these toys come from?”
Brian walks into the living room with a glass of lemonade and slaps his forehead, “I was hoping to surprise her, but Stacey leaving his toys out everywhere seems to have ruined that.” Brian chuckles as he walks over to his mom whilst stepping over one of the blocks, “Well…I’ve been caring for a little kid since Thanksgiving.”
Sarah tilts her head as she watches her son sip his lemonade, “Oh? Who are they?”
Brian sets the lemonade down, “Well he’s…”
……
I poke my head into the hallway and my eyes widen when Sarah’s motherly eyes spot me. I duck back into my bedroom whilst hissing echoes around me as the fear of being found out courses through my body. My heart beats rapidly as I hear footsteps and the wetness indicator of my Pampers Cruisers shifts from yellow to yellow-green.
I close my eyes as I will my fear to fade, “What am I scared of? It’s just Brian’s Mom. What am I scared for?” I open my eyes and Sarah is kneeling in front of my doorway! “WAAAAAA!” I jump back and crash into my crib, “Ow…” I whimper as I collapse onto my padded bottom and rub the back of my head, “Owwie…”
Sarah’s heart nearly breaks as she rushes over and lifts me into her arms, “I’m sorry, Little Fella.” She darts her eyes around my bedroom and smiles at the purple walls along with the matching crib and changing table, “Brian didn’t spare any expense for you huh?” Sarah brings me out to arm’s length and raises an eyebrow as she scans me from head to toe, “You remind me of someone.”
Sarah sets me on my feet and kneels to boop my nose, “What’s your name, sweetie?”
I giggle at Sarah’s nose poke and smile, “I’m Stacey.”
Sarah backpedals at my name and blinks twice as she looks me up and down, “Stacey…that’s a nice name. Um…” Sarah chuckles as she ruffles my hair and her eyes widen when the realization dons on her, “STACEY!”
I wince at her shout and seconds later I’m being pulled into a warm hug, “Mrs. O’Brien…you’re squeezing too tight.”
Sarah releases me from the hug and smiles, “You’re so cute and tiny now.” She turns to the doorway and waves at her son standing there, “So when were you going to tell me that your friend became a toddler?”
Brian rubs the back of his head, “Well…I didn’t think you’d believe me over the phone, so I wanted to wait tell you visited to see for yourself. What do you think?”
Sarah turns to me while I cross my arms and pout at her, “I think…”
“Brian…” I giggle as I’m lifted into Sarah’s arms, “Whoa…” and hugged close to her chest. I smile as I rest my head over her shoulder while she rubs my back.
Sarah smiles at her son while patting my bottom, “I think he’s adorable.” Sarah brings me out to her eyes and withholds a chuckle as I swing my legs whilst my Pampers crinkle, “I guess being a toddler is lot more fun for you than being an adult, huh Stacey?”
“Uh huh!” I giggle and continue swinging my legs while my Pampers crinkle with my happy movements, “I was so happy when I woke up as a toddler and Brian took me in without question.” I turn to Brian when Sarah rests me on her hip, “He’s the bestest biggest brother in the whole wide world!”
Sarah chuckles as she carries me toward my door and kisses Brian’s forehead, “Yep, he’s the best for you that’s for sure.” She heads into the living room with her son following her and sits down on the couch next to him while I’m seated in her lap. “So Brian, what are you going to do about your job?”
Brian grabs his glass and drains some of the lemonade, “I already talked with the director, he said I can bring Stacey to work with me on the days I do go in.”
Sarah shakes her head, “You can’t take a toddler to work with you. Well, unless it’s Bring Your Sibling To Work Day, but that’s different. What would your co-workers think if you brought your baby brother to work with you every day?”
I huff as I rise in Sarah’s lap and boop her nose, “They’d think I’m cute. Heee…”
Sarah smiles at me and tickles my armpits, “Silly Baby.”
I giggle as Sarah’s tickling energy surges across my body and I wobble in her lap. I continue giggling from her tickles while Sarah guides me downward so I’m seated in her lap, “STAAAAHP! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!”
Sarah stops tickling me and turns to Brian, “He’s a cute little giggle box.”
Brian smiles as he rises from the couch, “I know.” He heads into the kitchen and grabs me a baby bottle of lemonade, “Mom? You want anything?”
Sarah glances down to me and pokes my belly, “I’m fine. I haven’t held a little kiddo in a while. This brings me back.”
Brian nods as he returns to the living room with my baby bottle of lemonade, “I’m glad you’re so happy, Mom.”
Sarah nods as she turns to her older son and spots the bottle he’s shaking, “Can I?”
Brian hands the bottle to his mother, “If Stacey lets you.”
I train my eyes on Sarah as she holds the bottle, “LEMONADE!” I reach for the bottle and giggle as Sarah flies it through the air, “Heee…flying bottle.”
Sarah giggles as she flies the bottle above my head and flies it toward my mouth, “You want me to feed you, Stacey?”
I open my mouth wide, “Yes pwease!” Seconds after Sarah drives the bottle to my open mouth, I begin suckling the delicious lemonade while Sarah holds the bottle. I smile around the bottle while Sarah rests my head in the crook of her left arm. This is so comforting for some reason.
Sarah smiles down at me while I drain the bottle and keep my innocent eyes focused on her, “He’s such a sweetie.”
Brian sits down next to his mother and chuckles at the adorable moment between her and his best friend turned baby brother, “You’re a natural, Mom. I think Stacey would be embarrassed for me to bottle feed him to be honest.”
Sarah pulls the empty bottle from my mouth and rests me against her chest while my head comes to rest over her shoulder, “I doubt it.” Sarah gently pats my upper back, “Have you ever asked him?”
Brian rubs the back of his head, “I haven’t…I didn’t think he wanted to be bottlefed before you just did it now. I mean he drinks from them all the time, but he told me he likes to cause it’s cuter and it prevents spills. Everything he does is cute though, so I just never put much thought into it.”
Brian glances toward the hardwood floor and rubs his chin, “I don’t even know how it’s gonna be when I have to go back to work. I hope it being the library makes it easier for him to stomach.”
“Eeeeeeeeeerp.” I blush as Sarah stands me in her lap and pats my padded bottom, “I…hee…Thanks.”
Sarah boops my nose and sets me on my feet, “You’re welcome, Stacey. So, what have you been up to lately?”
I glance down to the hardwood floor and wiggle my toes, “I was playing Need for Speed: SHIFT, and before that I was playing Juiced, and before that I was watching cartoons with Brian.” I smile toward Sarah and giggle when she pokes my belly, “HEY!” I tug my shirt down and backpedal toward the TV, “No tummy pokes.”
Sarah rises and heads toward the kitchen to set my bottle in the sink. She returns and scoops me into the air, “You’re such a cute little tyke.”
I giggle while Sarah spins me around, “WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!” When she sets me on my feet moments later, I wobble and waddle over to Brian so I can rest my hands on his knees and regain my balance, “Your Mommy is awesome!”
Brian smiles as he darts his eyes between me and his mother, “She is, very awesome.”
I giggle as I waddle toward the TV and turn to waddle into my bedroom.
Sarah smiles as she watches me disappear past my door, “He’s such a cute little tot.”
Brian nods as he picks up the remote and activates my Favorites Playlist, starting with MIKA’s Grace Kelly, “Yep, I’m glad he came over here like he did.” Brian turns to his mom and chuckles, “You like having another little tot running around, don’t ya?”
Sarah nods, “Uh huh. It makes me so happy. I missed all that, and it’s nice to feel like a mommy again.
I dart my eyes around my bedroom and waddle over to my toy chest to grab one of my toy cars. When I pick it up however, “WAAAAAAAAAAAA!” a spider crawls toward me. I waddle-run out of my bedroom, “MOOOOMMY!”
Sarah’s ears perk up at my toddler scream of Mommy. Before she can get up, she feels a weight in her lap and she glances down to see me hugging her tight and whimpering, “What’s the matter, sweetie?” She rubs my back and pats my bottom whilst hearing hissing echoing around her as my fear rises, “Poor baby, tell Mommy what’s wrong?”
Brian internally dawws at the adorable scene of his mother comforting me as she used to with him when he was my age. Yeah…this brings back memories of when mom used to comfort me when I was scared. I’m glad Stacey can experience that same love and comfort.
I whimper as I bring my eyes out to Sarah, “Mommy…there…there’s a…a spider.”
Sarah rises and strolls around the living room at a snail’s pace whilst patting my bottom, “It’s alright. Brian can get it.” Sarah turns to her older son and nods, “Mommy’s right here, I won’t leave until the spider is gone.
Brian rises and heads to the kitchen to grab a paper towel and a glass jar with a top. He inches back to my bedroom and spots the spider walking around my toy chest, “Found you.” He lowers himself to his knees and inches toward the spider. Right when the spider thinks it’s safe in the open, Brian drops the jar on it and quickly flips it upward to shut the top on it, “GOT IT!”
“See?” Sarah bounces me on her hip while I wipe my eyes with a balled-up fist, “Your big brother got the mean old spider.”
I sniff and train my eyes on Sarah, “He got it, Mommy? Really?”
Sarah points to Brian carrying a glass jar toward the balcony, “Yep, he’s taking it outside now.”
I sniff and bury my head in Sarah’s side, “I hate spiders.”
“I know, sweetie. They can be scary.” Sarah inches down the hallway toward my bedroom and stands me up on my changing table, “But they serve a purpose.”
I sniff while Sarah slides a finger into the cuff of my diaper, “What’s that?”
Sarah pats my bottom, “Lie down for me.”
“Why come?” I sniff and dart my eyes around my room.
Sarah grabs a fresh Pampers Cruisers diaper from the stack and lightly taps my head, “I need to get you changed, you’re wet. Now lie down for Mommy.”
I sniff and slide onto my bottom. I squirm when I feel a squish, “I’m wet. Ummm…”
Sarah boops my nose as I lie on my back, “Yep, Mommy will have you changed in a jiffy.” She unfastens my soaked diaper and lifts my legs to slide it out of range of my kicking legs, “Now…” She grabs some Pampers Complete baby wipes and begins working to get me clean and dry, “House spiders are nature’s pest control. They eat crickets and cockroaches, along with mosquitoes and mayflies to name a few insects.”
I sniff as Sarah tosses the last wipe in my old diaper and lowers my legs so she can roll the old diaper into a ball, “Really?” I rub my eyes as Sarah tosses the taped-up diaper into my diaper pail and grabs the baby powder, “So they aren’t harmful to me?”
Sarah lifts my legs with her left hand and powders my uplifted bottom with her right hand, “Nope, they’re just here to help. I know they can be scary, but don’t you worry. They won’t hurt you.”
I turn toward my toy chest and whimper as Sarah slides the fresh Pampers under my bottom, “I still dun like them.”
“Mommy knows, sweetie. If you ever see one,” Sarah brings the diaper’s smiling veggie decorated shell up to my belly and secures the left tape, “just tell Brian. He’ll take it outside.”
I smile toward Sarah as she secures the right tape of my new diaper and pats it, signaling the completion of my diaper change, “Thankies for the change, Mommy!” I giggle and kick my legs allowing my fresh Pampers to crinkle. I stop kicking my legs seconds later and sit up whilst hissing carries the bottle I drank earlier out of my body. I giggle as I jump into Sarah’s waiting arms.
Sarah hugs me close as she heads toward the bathroom, “You’re welcome, Stacey. Mommy’s always happy to help.” She sets me on the shut toilet seat and washes her hands.
I scan the foreign seat I’m sitting on while the hissing dies down. “What is this thing?” I whimper at the sudden noise of water. I jump off the seat whilst hissing echoes as my fears ramp up again. I whimper as I latch onto Sarah’s leg whilst the hissing fades, “Mommy…”
Sarah shuts off the sink and peels me off her leg. She kneels and ruffles my hair, “What’s wrong, sweetie?”
I whimper and point to the foreign object, “Monster!”
Sarah chuckles and lifts me into a hug, “Just the potty. It’s for grown-ups.” Sarah carries me out of the bathroom and chuckles when she sees her older son asleep on the couch, “Your potty,” Sarah walks over to the couch and sits down with me standing in her lap. She pats my diapered bottom and smiles at my Pampers crinkling, “is taped snugly around your waist. You’ll never have to worry about that monster in there.”
I whimper and boop Sarah’s nose, “Wha…what about the monster in the tub?”
Sarah hugs me tight and pats my bottom, “Mommy and Brian and Denis and Daddy will protect you, don’t you worry.” Interesting, since Stacey’s become a toddler a lot of his thought processes have become more toddler-like. Still, he’s a cutiepie and I’ll humor all his adorable toddler themed questions.
I waddle out of Sarah’s lap onto the couch and turn to Brian who’s fast asleep, “Who’s gonna protect me if Brian’s sleep?”
Sarah ruffles my hair and pats my bottom, “I’ll stay here until he wakes up.”
I turn back to Sarah and smile. I waddle into her lap and wrap my arms around her neck. I kiss her cheek five times and giggle, “Thankies, Mommy!”
Sarah smiles as she returns my hug whilst delivering loving pats to my freshly diapered bottom, “You’re welcome, Little Boy. Mommy loves you.” Sarah never thought she would get to be called Mommy again. This outcome, however, makes her happy. She’s glad that her son’s best friend became a cute little toddler without question. She from today onward resolves to protect the little toddler’s smile forever.
I giggle as I snuggle into Sarah’s hug while her gentle motherly humming and diapered bottom pats lull me into a state of peace. I never thought I’d have a mommy in Brian’s Mom, but after today, I’m glad I do. I’ve got a big brother and now a mommy in my corner as an adorable toddler and I couldn’t have asked for better in this new world. I’m so happy.
