After being kicked out from college, Anna and Ryan now find themselves almost destitute and shunned from society. It is a difficult life, but it is one they chose when they refused to give in to the ideals of Sallas, a place of extreme misogyny which believes a woman's place is as little more than a baby. Materially, Anna's position improves a great deal, but... Morally? That is something she struggles with as she is forced to lie to the cameras. It would seem like that was how the married couples lives would go, used as pawns for the government. However, a mysterious phone call from a woman known only as "Thorn" suddenly changes everything. All of a sudden there seems to be a new possibility, one that is just too tempting for Anna, the thing she desired above all else. Escape. Will Anna risk a reasonably comfortable existence for the freedom she has always dreamt of? Is she willing to risk the lives of those closest to her? Can "Thorn" be trusted?
