Doctors Make the Worst Patients      

It’s an old saw in the profession that doctors make lousy patients.  I came to understand the idea much more clearly when I faced the AR Virus.  I’d been on staff at Texarkana Med Center for eight years when I contracted it in 2081.  It left me, in the words of my colleague, Paul Senter, “a good-looking, perfectly healthy twelve-year-old.”  Not exactly a great career booster for an ER-specialist
