Chapter Description: Chase was a top model. Becoming a kid didn't change his feelings, but gave a new set of issues. It took a lot of effort to sort things out.

Being a model meant a lot to Chase.  It gave him recognition after a childhood that had been less than ideal, with neglectful parents who couldn’t wait for him to turn 18 to push him out of the house.  He’d turned a chance meeting with a modeling agency rep into a career within two years.  Ten years on, he was one of the best-paid in the country.  He was dating Heather Callan, another model.  Then came the AR Virus. 

Two weeks after his 28^th birthday, Chase woke up knowing he had a session in a couple of hours, but feeling absolutely awful.  His flatmate, Evan, noticed immediately and asked if he was ok.  He tried to say it was nothing, but then collapsed in the middle of the room.  When he came to, he was already in the ER at Logan Medical Center in Boston.  Within a day, he was in the AR Isolation Section and already feeling the disorientation that was typical of the viral effect.   

He scarcely knew anything from then until he woke up one morning in mid-October.
