Chapter Description: Stacey Where are you!? Not you! Stacey! Stacey where is Stacey!
Jeremy just got out of athletics and was expecting to see Stacey waiting for him as was their custom. She wasn’t there. He thought maybe she was at Ashley Stantford’s house. Ashley had been Stacey’s best friend since 4th grade. They would often hang out together.
He checked around the school first and then set off to go to Ashley’s house. He noticed Stacey’s bandana she liked to wear was on the ground. He said "Thats odd." Bt that really didn’t phase him that much being as calm and collected as he was dispite a few emotional outbreaks in defense of Stacey of coarse.
He arrived at Ashley’s house and saw that Ashley wasn’t home either. He called Ashley, thinking back on he realized that would have been the smart thing to do in the first place. Ashley picked up and Jeremy said "Hey Ash you know where Stacey is?" She said "Well not really. She said she was going to the library but that was yesterday. She could have changed her plans." "Thanks Ash." He said. Then hung up the phone.
He then called his grandmother. "Hey Grandmah, you know where Stacey is?" "No but maybe you should try the bank she said she had to pick up some money for something or other. He then thought to himself Library + Bank, What’s she gunna do buy a ton of books. He checked Both Spots. A few more people said she was goin to buy some cooking ingredients at the store.
He then started off to go to KwickMart, their local food store, to find Stacey. By now it’s hitting around 7pm and still no sign of Stacey. He still had that bandana in his hand.
He tredded around that stupid town of his for around an hour and a half. He called oe of his football team members, Justin Corlena, and asked if he saw Stacey twas to no avail.
He drove to a park that they went to when they were kids. He remebered when they would sit by the river and watch the water flow. They tried to forget about their pasts as much as they could.
He then drove up to the Middle school they went too and look around a bit. Then drove around the spots where they had hung out before. It was approaching 12 AM.
He was driving back to his house when he saw a little white ball on the side of the road as he got closer he thought "is it a dog? Oh no thats a person!" He pulled over and saw that it was a child severely bruised up with several cuts on her too. The white shirt was too big for her and he didn’t bother checking for undergarmets or not. He could see she was still breathing.
She was unconscious. She appeared to be 5 - 9 years old, she looked familiar. Then he said "I forgot about Stacey!" Then the little girl about completely konked out muttered "What?" She rubbed her left eye with a gash over it around her eyebrow. Blood was in here eyes so she really couldn’t see. She yelped in a high pitch voice "Ouch!"
She realized she was in a car and said "What do you people want with me?" Before drifting back to sleep.
He took her home and layed her on the couch and began dressing her wounds. Then he got a flashback from when he was a kid and it reminded him more of Stacey.
He said Stacey’s better at this kind of stuff and the little girl said "I’m right .... h... here." But it was too muttered. He didn’t understand it. He was bandaging up her foot when he heard something unexpected come out of the little girl "That tickles you know I hate when you ..." and then back off to sleep she was.
It was a good sign she was aware of small things even in the state she was in. He then started thinking about Stacey. "WHERE COULD SHE BE!!!" Trying to calm himself down for the girl’s sake.
He stayed up till about 1 AM Dresing her wounds. Then he passed out.
