Chapter 6
Recovery?

Chapter 6

Andrea was completely out and lying on the dining room

table where Christopher had removed, all of what he

could, of the vial that had completely embedded itself into

her leg. After the removal, he cleaned the wound as

thoroughly as possible. Unfortunately, he knew that the

odds were against it being enough to save Andrea from

being prone to the effects of the liquid that was

undoubtedly in her system. He proceeded to do what he

could however, and finished cleaning the wound

thoroughly, and then suturing it closed so that it could

heal. Due to the situation, and what he believed would

happen, Christopher put a well dressed bandage around

the area where the wound was. If he was correct, when

Andrea finally did wake up, her mindset would not be to

leave the area alone that caused her pain. So that she

would not awaken and possibly hurt herself, Christopher

gently picked up Andrea and moved her to the couch in

the living room. With that he turned to Daniel, and

nodded back towards the dining room area of the condo.

“I need to explain something to you Daniel, something

about Andrea.”

"What!!! I knew we should have taken her to the

hospital, we can still make it, there’s time!” Daniel started

heading quickly towards Andrea.

Christopher grabbed him before he could pass him,

telling him no and that she was fine. Christopher told

Daniel to sit down, and so he did. Christopher joined him.

He began by telling him that there was something more

that happened during the car wreck. He explained that

when they flipped over the side rails that there was a case

in the backseat that had been sitting loose. He described

that during the time when the car was rolling over the case

apparently came open and there were glass vials that were

set loose. Christopher looked up to see if Daniel

understood what he was saying.

“So it was one of your vials that got embedded in her

thigh? Please for the love of God tell me that there was

nothing in the vials!! Tell me that there is nothing that will

have any adverse affects on her!! TELL ME!!” Daniel was

becoming increasingly angry.

“Yes. But I am unsure if it will have any effects on her or

not.”

“WHAT WAS IT!!!?”

“It was...”

Before Christopher could answer the question, there was

a loud screaming from the room where Andrea had been

lying at. Both men jumped up and ran in the room to find

Andrea screaming at the top of her lungs, still lying on the

couch. It was more than obvious that she was in an

obscene amount of pain. Christopher ran to the back

room where he kept his supplies, while Daniel tried to

comfort Andrea with soothing words. She was trying to pull

at the area where the bandage was. Christopher came

running back in yelling that Daniel needed to hold her arm

so that he could give her the medication. He told him that

it was a combination of a mild sedative and pain reliever.

Daniel held her arm and Christopher injected her quickly.

Andrea’s eyes were open and wide with fear and pain, but

after the injection, it took a couple of minutes, and she

was once again calm. Her eyes did not close but a

dreamy, glassy look came across them. A look that Daniel

took as being from the medication, but Christopher

realized his worse fears in her look. Although Daniel tried

speaking to Andrea, she remained quiet and not to soon

after she fell asleep once more. Daniel looked up to

Christopher from where he was sitting and simply

asked, “What happened during that accident?”

Christopher looked down with a distressing look upon

his face for a moment. When he looked up, he wiped his

face with his sleeve and stared at Daniel.

“The vials contained a batch of serum I have been

working on. They have been tested and I can honestly say

that the liquid is 100% full proof. Unfortunately, the

samples that were tested were not concentrated, but

diluted with special chemical agents in order to lessen the

effects of the main ingredient. When I put them in the

case, and in the car, I had no clue that what happened

tonight would occur. As far as I was concerned they were

safe, and they would be delivered to my main lab

tomorrow. I...”

“What was in them!?” Daniel stated sternly, becoming

agitated with what seemed to be a slow put off by

Christopher.

“It was a reverse aging chemical.”

“A what?”

“There are two serums, one red and one blue. Each

contains a different form of a reverse aging chemical. If

diluted with the proper added agents, I have found that,

in small doses, each can counter act certain aging process.

The red can actually reverse a person’s physical aging

features such as wrinkling skin, baggy eyes, crow’s feet,

age spots, etc. The blue serum can affect the person’s

mental aging. It would help to reverse the effects of a

multitude of diseases associated with aging such as

Alzheimer’s by simply reversing the cells in the mind so

that they are younger, so to speak.” After telling his entire

side of everything there was to tell, Christopher sighed

and looked at Daniel to see what his reaction would be.

Daniel was a mixture of sadness, fear, anger, and

confusion. The only thing that went through his mind was

which one had Andrea taken into her body? As if knowing

what he was thinking, Christopher stated, “The Blue One.”

Daniel looked at him and shook his head, “Maybe there

wasn’t enough in the vial or perhaps...”

Christopher interrupted, “No. When I extracted the vial

from her thigh, it still had some remnants of the serum

mixed with blood in it. The vial was deep in her skin,

meaning that even with only a small amount in the vial,

being that it was concentrated it was enough to have done

some damage. I’m just not sure how much or to what

extent.”

It was at that moment that there were sounds coming

from the other room where Andrea had been left.
