A Trip Back

Background Info

Sarah and Drew were the average couple. They lived in a nice house, in and good neighborhood, in suburban Michigan. For twenty seven they were very well off. They wanted two kids that would become athletes, or lawyers, or doctors. And that’s where the problem lies. Due to a childhood illness Sarah could not have kids, Drew suggested adoption but she said it just wasn’t the same and he left it at that.

Sarah had spent the last few months very sad. It was a stretch of bad luck that just wouldn’t go away. First she found out that she could never have children, the one thing she wanted most in the world and then two months later her parents died in a car accident. At first her husband Drew was supportive and tried to lift her sprits, until he found out about the will. He then paraded around the house singing about their new found millions all at the same time Sarah would sit and cry. Sarah and her parents were still very close to her they called at least three times a week. And her husband rubbing it in her face did not help her at all.

Chapter 1

As I stood with my head drooped in the corner I thought back on how I got myself into this situation. It was a hot summer afternoon and Sarah was reading a magazine when she saw an ad that asked for people to test a new age regression medicine, she looked at it and thought about it, but then realized that she had no one to test it one. Then an idea popped into her head and she looked over at her husband, who was sitting on the couch in his underpants drinking a beer. She thought to herself he if wants to act like a child he will become one. She then called the science lab to sign her husband up for the trial.

Sarah went to go tell her husband that he had a doctor’s appointment next week. Drew sat there in confusion. She sounded more like a mother than a wife. Sarah quickly covered it up by saying it had been a long time since he had gone and he needed to be checked up. Drew quickly blew it off and went back to his beer.

Sarah happiness levels soared after that point. She would get the baby she always wanted. Drew noticed it too. They were both very happy now, but for completely different reasons, Sarah because she would get her baby and Drew because they were 10 million dollars richer. But the money would be spent in a different way then he planned.
