Chapter 7: I would like a HAMBURGer for a STAR(R) (part 2)

Connor rushed onto the bus as Miss Winters handed him his book back. The teen sat down in the back and sighed out of relief.

"What took you so long?" Manic inquired.

"Just had a little running trouble, that’s all." Connor replied. Connor knew he was lying to Manic, but he felt he had to since he didn’t know how Manic would react to the strange turn of events.

"Alright, that was the first of few events that you were actually able to interact in. We chose to do it like that since most of the things you guys did, including the photography of the band withe your cellular devices and digital cameras, would not affect the history or fame of The Beatles. Anyways, it’s back to no interaction for this next stop since it is when The Beatles first meet their future drummer, Ringo Starr." The male courrier stated.

The bus sped to the Kaisikeller club and the time October 1960. It then sped through the walls and to backstage, where The Beatles and Rory Storm and the Hurricanes were.

"So, you guys have to sleep ehind a movie theater? Woah." Ringo stated to John.

"Yep. Our living conditions are crap. By the way, who did you say you were again?" John replied.

"Richard Starkey, but call me Ringo."

The passengers were looking at the two bands in awe. There was a huge difference between them in terms of class. For starters, Rory Storm and the Hurricanes were wearing suits, while The Beatles were wearing black leather jackets and leather pants.

"Ringo! We need to get on stage now!" Rory yelled.

"Well it was nice chatting with you guys." Ringo said as he left for the stage.

"And that’s how The Beatles met Ringo Starr. Not all that exciting, but still important." The male courier stated, "Next up is the earliest known performance of The Beatles with Ringo Starr, but first, a little trip to Paris as it was in October of 1961."

The bus zoomed out of the club as if it were a ghost. Many passengers still couldn’t get used to that feeling. The bus came to a screeching halt as it stopped inside a barber shop where a friend of John and Paul’s, Jurgen Vollmer, worked. John was in the barber chair ready to get rid of his teddy boy hair cut and bring in the new style, the moptop.

"So, you want the same style as me, yah?" Jurgen inquired.

"Yep. This grease style seems old hat to me." John replied.

Jurgen began removing the grease from John’s hair. Once the grease was removed, John’s long hair fell on his face. Jurgen then procceed with the cutting and the combing of John’s locks. Once it was finished, John looked like he would for many a years.

"How do you like it?" Jurgen inquired, holding a mirror in front of John.

"It suits me very well." John replied as he raised his eyebrows, checking himself out in the mirror.

The passengers were watching in awe. Connor was amazed at how long John’s hair was at the time! I always thought it was shorter, Connor thought.

John got out of the chair and motioned for Paul to sit. Paul sat in the barber chair as Jurgen went through the same steps as he did with John.

"Do we have to pay you?" Paul inquired.

"Nah, you guys are friends, not average customers," Jurgen replied, "This appointment’s on me."

John and Paul thanked Jurgen as they walked out of the shop.

"A month later, George went to Paris and got the exact same haircut as Paul and John. Next stop, the TopTen Club in Germany as it was in January of 1962." The male courrier stated.
