Chapter 7
At the Doctor's, Again

Chapter Description: Seth finally learns some of the truth.

Seth was waiting in the white doctor’s room again. The nurse didn’t bother with him. Instead, the doctor came out and greeted Seth with a friend;y hello.

“Hello, dear boy!” The doctor said cheerfully.

“’Uh, hi. Whats up?” Seth asked, not liking the tone of the doctor’s voice.

“Oh, well I’m quite chipper if I do say so myself!” The doctor replied.

“Yeah, well, anyway what kind of crazy questions are you going to ask me now?” Seth asked, uneasy.

“Oh, none my boy!” The doctor exclaimed, “Well, nothing weird anyway. I have two questions for you today!”

“Oh goodie.” Seth said, not sure what to expect.

“The first and foremost important one is, How do you feel?”

“Oh, well thats not odd. I feel pretty good. Make that great. This place sure doesn’t feel like a prison, I feel better than I have in, well . . .”

“Seven years?” The doctor asked curiously.

“Well, yeah, I guess. When I was sixteen. Why?”

“Ahh dear boy. You truly are of mediocore intelligence as the report says.” The doctor replied.

“You feel better then you have in seven years because you don’t hsve those seven years anymore!”

“Wha, what?” Seth was getting uneasy.

“But of couse! Haven’t you noticed all of the children here? Of did you believe they were visiting their fathers?” Trhe doctor said, quite pleased with himself. A nurse snuck into the room, but Seth didn’t see or hear her. He was too appalled by what he heard.

“I don’t understand.”

“Dear boy, those lads ARE their fathers!” The doctor said.

“But, thats not possible!”

“Of course it is! Its very easy to refurbrish DNA. Like stripping bark off a tree, really. The only challenge is to get the cells of your body to merge back together. And that isn’t too difficult with the formula we’ve injected into you.”

“Injected?”

“Yes, injected. We’ve done it twice thus far. Once when you were asleep and once yesterday. We put the forumla in you while you slept and we entered the catalyst into your body yesterday. Quite interesting stuff, really. It even uses your fat cells to turn bone into cartalige and shirk you porportionatly. It is literally like chucking you back through time.”

“But, why?” Seth asked.

“Why? Isn’t it obvious? There are millions of families that want to adopt and millions of prisoners. All we got to do is sign a few forms and poof! All America’s prisoners are children, being raised the right way through caring familes. We control the population, we save the tax payer’s dollars on jails and we provide happiness for familes everywhere! Our next project is to make a home so the orphans become babies too,”

“Thats enough lies!” Seth yelled. “Prove it!”

“If you insist,:” the doctor said smiling, “Nurse!” And with that, the nurse shoved another needle into Seth.
