Chapter Description: Syrus is caught off guard by the unique strategy of this women, regress Syrus' monsters!

“Jaden!!” Syrus yelled! He couldn’t belive his best friend was gone. From the way things looked across the Academy, it looked like this person already got everyone else at the school. He and this woman seemed to be the only ones on the island even old enough to buy a pack of Duel Monsters cards.

“Well, well young one. How long have you been watching?”

“Long enough to know that you’re a member of the . . . “

“Don’t even say it!” The woman snapped. “I am not one of them! I am merely here for my own gain! When I beat you in this duel, I’ll have beaten everyone at this school. The Legendary cards below this school to keep myself and everyone I’ve beaten young for ever!”

“What, can’t you get yourself a nice husband?” Syrus mocked as he loaded his Duel Disk.

“Funny remark, let’s see ho funny you are when you can’t speak! Or do anything for that matter.” The woman snapped her fingers and a rift in the air appeared. Syrus could see at least a hundred cradles inside. Baby Jaden was wisked away into one of the cradles and it closed, leaving Syrus completely alone.

“Well, boy. Since this is the last duel I must win, you can go first. Your blazer tells me this will be an easy duel.”

“Umm,” Syrus was shaking. This woman beat Jaden, how could he even fight?

“I summon Cycroid in defense mode (0/1200).”

“A terrible card for a terrible duelist!” The woman replied. “I play Zombified Baby in defense mode (0/2000). That and two face-down cards end my turn.”

“Well, your card isn’t so much better than mine!” Syrus exclaimed. “It only has 800 more defense points.So let me play this card, Pot of Greed! This card lets me draw two new cards from my deck.”

“It matters not! Nothing you could possibly play can stop me now!”

What if she’s right? Syrus thought. Well, I could always prepare a good defense. “I summon, Vehicroid Rider! In defense mode!” Syrus was calmed by seeing his rider, a man in a La Tour de Francias uniform. “He’s got a special effect! I can equip a face-up monster with ’oid’ somewhere in its name to it and increase its stats by the same amount as the equipped monster!” Vehicroid Rider’s stats rose to 800 / 2200. Now she can’t break through my defense!

“Ha, is that pathetic card supposed to scare me? My turn, my move and your dimise! I play the Field Spell Card, Cursed Seal of Everlasting Youth!” As she played this card that Syrus had never even heard of before, the field changed to a fountain and almost instantly, water began to spew from it. As the water flooded the field, Syrus couldn’t believe his eyes, the Vehicroid Rider was growing younger. He was losing points fast, until he had no power at all!

“My Spell Card changes the attack and defense of all monsters that don’t have ’Baby’ in their names to 0. Not to mention monsters affected by this card can’t attack!”

“What! No way!” Syrus could tell it was true. His Vehicroid Rider was a baby, and was even playing with his toes, bobbing himself back and forth.

“Well, now I sacrice Zombified Baby to summon Aqua Baby, in defense mode!” The child that appeared this time dove into the water, splashing its mer-tail in the air a few times. “While this card is on the field, my Fountain can’t be removed from the field!”

That means I can’t destroy it with my Mystical Space Typoon card in my hand, Syrus thought sadly.

“Next I play my Trap Card, Narchoatic Nursery! While its in play, monsters that already have ’Baby’ in their names can’t be destroyed as a result of battle!”

Great, now I can’t destroy them. “I draw,” Well, I guess this might help. “I play Drilloid in defense mode.”

“What, a machine!?”

“So what?” Syrus said, “My deck is filled with them!” Wait, my Drilloid isn’t changing, Syrus realized.

I bet machine cards aren’t affected by this Spell Card!

“Since I already summoned Drilloid in defense mode, I’ll set two face-down cards and end my turn!”

“Heh, you won’ have another chance to use Drilloid’s effect. Besides, I have a card to stop Machines, how to you think I bet Zane?”

She beat my big brother? I really have to win now! Syrus though.

“I summon Baby Boy! In attack mode!” A cute baby boy with whispy blonde hair appeared from the card, clothed in nothing but a diaper.

“He has a special effect, when he attacks directly, his attack power is increased by the amount of every other Baby monster on the field and monsters affected by my Cursed Seal of Everlasting Youth. Since your Vehicroid Rider has 800 attack points and my Aqua Baby has 1000 Attack points, my Baby Boy has 1900 attack points! Now I play the Spell Card, Baby Rattle on my Baby Boy!” A rattle flew from the card and landed at Baby Boy’s feet. He picked it up, looking pleased.

“While a Baby monster is equipped with Baby Rattle, it can attack directly! And now you’ll see the power of my Shadow Game! Attack directly Baby Boy! Rattle Cascade!!” Syrus was surprised to see that he felt the blast of the rattle, but as he lost his lifepoints, he felt himself shrinking. Everything was getting bigger and his Duel Disk was getting heavier.

“As your life points drop, so does your age! As of now, I’d have to say you’d lose about 1 year for every 250 life points! I’d guess that you’re only slightly older than eight!”

The woman was right, he remembered seeing himself like this in old photo books at home.

“Its only a matter of time, you might as well give up. When my monster attacks you next turn, you won’t even be able to speak! You won’t even be toilet trained! Hahahahahahahahahaha!”
