The COMPLETE story. // A suburban gang of anarchic punks comes face-to-face with a community at the end of its rope. // Commissioned by and based on ideas from fenixero.
Chapter Description: Please read this-- if not first, then sometime!
Friends in AR,
This is the last commissioned story you will see from me in some time, so I’ve spent (and continue to spend) weeks and even months on it, making sure I’m bringing to you my best possible performance.
I am temporarily retiring from accepting new commissions. Definitely until June, but possibly until September. I have been hired as an editor for an actual, honest-to-God book, and that simply has to come first.
My heartfelt gratitude to my clients, whose patience as I fine-tune and tweak their investments is unmatched.
Looking through my work over the past year, I realized that the last time I wrote a story 100% comprised of my own ideas was "Some New Disaster" in June 2011.
I badly, badly want to write my own ideas for a while. A nice, long, relaxing while.
Here are the things you can expect from me in the interim:
- New stories from Lola Trechlyn, including "Loose Cannon," "Lacking Convention," and "Lady Champion: Little Champion III."
- Possible sequels to "Lifelong Customers" and "Subversion."
- Helpful links on my Lola page to take you to the Lola stories that I, for various reasons, uploaded to my Trip page.
- Humiliation 5. (Tentative, but inevitable.)
- A great deal more experimental writing.
So please enjoy this story -- it runs long and will be here for a while -- as my farewell to commissions until sometime this summer. I’m thrilled and flattered that the requests just keep coming in, and I only hope they’ll continue to do so when I’m ready to return as a merchant.
Thank you again for all your support,
-lt
