Chapter 19
A Friend Indeed

Chapter Description: A surprise regression changes the life of a guy and his best friend.

Michael just arrived home after another failed audition. He was trying to get into the acting world for a while, but he was having a very hard time trying to get the slightest of roles. He still worked in a construction material store so he could still share his rent with his roommate JT. “Dude, I think you should get a break. Maybe just a while so you can look for easier auditions.” Michael sat down in his chair. “I guess you’re right. But I’m tired of lifting all that heavy stuff all day!” “I know you are, but you need to relax, try to distract your mind with some TV. Cartoons maybe, they’re a great escapism.” Michael nods and he hears TJ picking his car keys.

“Hey, where are you going?” “Oh, my cousin is in the city to introduce me and my family to their spouse and children. I told you that last week.” “Oh yeah…” Michael sighed. “Well, you have the whole house to yourself, so I guess you can’t watch here on the couch.” JT tried to cheer him up. In response, Michael gave him a simple smile. “Yeah, you’re right. Have fun!” “I will.” TJ left and He started to browse through the streaming services for a cartoon show.

Some time passed when he just stopped after seeing a cartoon. “Blue’s Clues? I loved that show when I was a kid! I think that I can binge watch for a while.” He said to himself. Those episodes were enough to make him just relax and feel like a kid again, but, weirdly enough, the couch seemed to start pulling him, but he shrugged it off. Some episodes later, the lights went off and immediately returned, and Michael saw his reflection on the TV. He was a kid again!

He jumped off the couch and looked for a mirror, seeing he was a toddler again. “I’m a baby again, two. Dis is awesome! I can’t wait untiw I teww JT!” He stopped when he felt his diaper getting very heavy and soggy, but that felt normal. “Wow, dis is wondahfuwwy comfy.” He giggled and ran back to the couch and started to watch again. Some time later, JT was back and saw the small kid on the couch. “JT you back!” Mikey shouted. “What, how do you know my name?” He analyzed the boy. “Wait, Mike. Is that you?” He asked, confused. “Yup, isn’t dis fun? I fink I wegwessed when I was watching Bwue’s Cwues!” He shouted excitedly. “But how?” “Dunno, but I awso don’t cawe. I wanna enjoy my second chiwdhood again!” He put his arms up as he was asking to be picked up.

TJ changed him with the diapers he ordered and soon Mikey was asleep on his lap. The next morning, he was on JT’s bed. Oh no, did I already change back? Or was it all a dream? He thought when he sat up and heard a crinkle, noticing the yellow stain in the diaper around his tiny waist. It wasn'ta dream! Now I have to call someone… He thought. “JT, me wake and wet!”
