Chapter 4
The Testing Trial

Chapter Description: Sammy gets to try out the device.

They next few weeks couldn’t go by fast enough for Sammy, she couldn’t wait to try the device and get rid of her annoying leg hair. She was working closely with John on the project, making her feel even closer to him than she already was. They had even come up with the slogan "Have skin as smooth as a baby, once again". She knew that it would be inappropriate for her to date her boss, but she could tell that he had feelings for her as well. John was turning into quite the flirt.

The day had finally come, Sammy headed down to the testing rooms down stairs. There were plenty of women and men testers in line. The company paid their testers well, so she recognized a lot of returning faces. She knew this was going to revolutionize the hair product market. Not only could they make shaving a thing of the past, but this could even get rid of balding! It was so incredible and she was so lucky to be one of the people leading the charge. One of the workers gave her a gown and a hairnet to put on. "I assumed you didn’t want you long hair to go back to the length of a when you were a kid", he told her as he handed her the hairnet. He also told her to keep her underwear on or she’d be losing that hair as well.

Sammy waited patiently in one of the rooms excitedly. It looked almost exactly like an examination room at a doctor’s office. There was even an exam table for her to sit on. She had watched plenty of these trials, but she had never actually been a part of one before. She made sure not to shave over the past week and a half for the event. She looked at the hair on her legs, she couldn’t wait to throw her razor and shaving cream away!

*Knock, knock, knock.

"Come in", Sammy called out.

It was John at the door, "Hey I just wanted to make sure everything is going alright". "No issues yet, they should be in here any minute now", Sammy smiled at him, feeling a little nervous since she was only wearing a short, gown. He smiled back. There was obviously feelings going on between the two.

"Alright Mrs. Roberson, we are already to go", a worker said as he came through the door. "Well, that’s my cue to leave. Good luck, dear. Dinner tonight?", he asked her. "Sounds good", she told him, trying to act calm, but excited he finally asked her on a date! She was finally feeling like everything was happening for a reason and John was the man she was supposed to be with.

"Okay, just lay flat on the table and I’ll begin", the worker told her. "Any issues with any other testers?", she asked as he finished setting the device. "No m’am, everything has gone really well! I’ll start with the light on your feet, then I’ll shine it all over your body", he told her. "Why? I thought it was just for my legs?", she asked, confused. "We just have to make sure there were no symptoms. Don’t worry, you’re about the 50th person I’ve performed this on today. I haven’t lost one yet!", he told her. Sammy felt relieved, she was a little nervous about the device, there really is no telling what this technology could do.

The worker started with the light down on her feet. It was incredible, Sammy could see the device working almost immediately. It didn’t feel bad, it actually felt kind of soothing, ironically like when she lathered on her shaving cream. It really was incredible to watch her hair begin to fade away. "Okay, I’m just going to shine this on the rest of you, but I have the setting on low, so it shouldn’t effect anywhere else. It’s just us being safe", he explained, once he was finished making her legs smooth again. She nodded in agreement.

The worker began shining the light everywhere else. She got that same cool, lathering feeling, but she didn’t notice any other changes in her hair. He was completely finished in a matter of seconds. "Alright m’am, you should be good to go! Just fill out this information card and give it to the man outside", he told her as he left the room.

She stood up, feeling her legs, they felt amazing! They felt better than when she just finished shaving! "Have skin as smooth as a baby once again, indeed", she laughed. She finished filling out the information card, put her clothes back on, grabbed her phone and purse off of the counter and started to walk out of the examination room when she started to feel it. At first, she felt dizzy, the room was spinning slightly. "I don’t feel...so...good", she said as she sat back down on the exam table. The cool, soothing, lathering feel suddenly came back and was all over her body. She felt like she could barely move! With what little strength she had, she text John the word "HELP".

It was too late, whatever was happening to her, was beginning to make her shake. She was terrified. Then she began to notice all of her hair began to disappear. Even the little blonde hairs on her arm began to become less noticeable. She grabbed her long, blonde hair, but it was already retreating back into her scalp. It went from passed her shoulders to a "boys haircut" in a matter of seconds. She looked in her panties and saw whatever little pubic hair she did have, was now gone.

Next came the really scary part. Her chest also began to grow smaller as well as her curves. Then it felt like her entire body was retreating in on itself. She was shrinking and the room looked like it was growing. Her clothes were now 3 times as big as she was, her shoes had long since fallen off. The last thing she saw before she closed her eyes was John and one of the workers coming into the room. They both gasped.
