Chapter 6
Through The Looking Glass

Chapter Description: Susan, now eleven encounters Megan once again, and she has some plans to humiliate her mother.

Richard came home slightly later then usual that night. He said that his boss made him stay late and he didn’t question it since we would need the extra money. Carrie went home for the night once he came home, she said that she would start coming over everyday after school to hang out with me. I sighed at the fact that she might soon have to take care of me, like the little girl I was slowly becoming. Richard and I decided to go to the doctors right away to make sure the problem didn’t get any worse. After much convincing to prove that I really was the eleven-year-old girl that was once 44-year-old Susan Weathers the doctors began doing all kinds of tests on me. We spent a good four or five hours at the doctors office before they were done. They said that they would call in a few days to see what they could determine from the lab tests.

We returned home and had a light meal. Samantha and Megan had already eaten and were in their room. It was just Richard and me at the table and an awkward silence filled the room. I notice that Richard wouldn’t look at me as we were eating, despite sitting across from each other. Was he upset at me for taking the drug? I had caused him a lot of trouble becoming a teenager again. He would have to work more hours to make sure we could keep our home after all, not to mention he has to take care of kids. Now there is the possibility that I could get even younger still.

“Uh, Richard...” I started trying to break the silence.

“What is it Susan?” he asked, still not looking at me directly.

“I’m sorry.” He then stopped eating and slowly looked up at me.

“What are you sorry for dear?”

“That I took that stupid drug in the first place.”

“Well, it’s not your fault that things went wrong. Besides I wasn’t against you taking the drug. I don’t blame you at all.”

“Then tell me something Richard. And answer me honestly.”

“Yes Susan?”

“If...If they can’t find a cure...and I keep getting younger...will you promise to take care of me?”

“Why would you think I wouldn’t? I love you Susan, and I always will no matter what age you are.”

“Thank you Richard.” It was just what I needed to hear to pick up my spirits a little bit. We then talked for a little bit longer about what we were going to do. If I regress again, I’ll just have to go back to another grade and we’d have to go through the hassle of enrolling me in another class. For the time being I would remain home and Carrie would come visit after classes to help me with things that I can’t do by myself. I didn’t think about telling him about what happened with Megan last night. I kind of forgot about the whole incident to be honest.

My husband and I parted ways and we went off to bed. Samantha was already asleep once again and Megan was busy on the computer. I had hoped to sneak into bed without her realizing that I was about three years younger then yesterday. I tiptoed into the bedroom trying my hardest to get into my bed without letting her know I was in the room. Step...Step.... Step.... quietly I would take a small step forward, moving forward cautiously. Almost there. Just a few more steps. CREEEK! The floorboards made a loud noise as I stepped on it and Megan quickly turned around.

“Oh, hello little Susie,” she grinned as she turned around in her swivel chair, reminiscent of the James Bond clich?. She stood up and I felt so small and plain in comparison to her. “Ooh, looks like little Susie is even younger then yesterday.” She laughed a little bit, putting her hands on my now completely flat chest. “Looks like puberty hasn’t come to you yet.”

Keep calm...if you don’t get upset you won’t get any younger. “Yes, I realize that I’m flat again Megan, you are hilarious,” I said flatly.

“Wow, looks like someone doesn’t quite understand her place. Well that’s okay little Susie, you will learn it soon enough.” She went over by her bed and grabbed the shopping bag that was sitting on top of it. She pulled out a diaper out and a very frilly, very pink dress that looked like it was meant for a baby, but it was meant for a kid that was fourteen. “Of course you may be a little small for the dress now, but I kept the receipt and can exchange it for a smaller one depending upon how young you get,” she laughed.

“You’re kidding! I’m not wearing that because I’m not a baby!” Try to relax a little bit. It’s not like she knows that when I get upset I get younger. Unfortunately I didn’t have mush of a choice but to wear it. Megan began removing my clothes, and while I tried to stop it, it wasn’t long before the diaper and the dress were forced on me. The dress was a little big for me, but it was able to stay on. She also insisted that my hair have pigtails, completing my transformation to an eleven-year-old baby. I was mortified to see myself in the mirror, but I knew that if I fought Megan too hard, it would only be a matter of time before she started hurting me and I started regressing again.

“Now then, here is what is going to happen. I am going to continue chatting with people on MySpace. In the meantime I want you to give me a pedicure and manicure. After that, my nails could use a fresh coat of polish too.”

“Yes, Megan.”

“Actually, I think you will begin addressing me as Mommy, Baby Susie.”

“No way! You aren’t my mother!”

“And you aren’t my mother. But you will address me as Mommy, Baby Susie, or else!” she threatenly moved towards me.

“Okay, I’ll do it...Mommy,” I said grimacing at the thought of what I just said. Never the less I began giving Megan a pedicure. It didn’t help that she kept kicking me as I was trying to do, almost as if she was trying to make me regress. No, that couldn’t be it. She couldn’t know that I’d regress when I get upset right? She just wants to cause me emotional pain, that’s all. I then moved up to her hands and started the manicure. I couldn’t help but notice how many friends she had on MySpace. I was never eager to let her on these types of sites, but she did it anyway not caring about what I thought. I couldn’t help but look at the page and see that she had someone marked as her special someone. I had always figured she was dating someone, staying out as late as she was. It’s not like I could have just chained her to the house. I couldn’t get a look at who the guy was she was dating, but it’s not like there was anything I could do about it now anyway. She clearly was in control, and if I try to resist her, I risk getting even younger.

I finished the manicure and then painted her nails. Megan then dismissed me for the evening, telling me that we would have more fun tomorrow. Fun? I lost three years today. Then there is the problem that I may get even younger. And where did all my information go from the drug test. Why would it just disappear like that? Questions kept swirling about my head as I got into bed and slowly drifted off to sleep. Maybe tomorrow will be better. Maybe...

To be continued...
