See what happens when a Treadmill does more than helps one lose weight.

Chapter 1
One Step Forward, Two Steps Back

THE TREADMILL

Chapter One

“Well, let’s get this transformation started!” Debra Wilson grudgingly exclaimed as stretched her leg behind her.

Marriage, a daughter, a nine-to-five desk job and frequent eating out had gradually put major pounds on Debra’s once trim figure. Now at 42 years old with 240lb on a 5’10” frame, she decided it was finally time for a change. So today, with her 12 year old daughter Allison starting her first day at St. Agnes Junior High, she too was determined to begin anew with a change of lifestyle.

Noticing the sun starting to rise through the curtains, Debra proceeded toward the treadmill to begin her workout.

The all-black treadmill was a Christmas gift from her husband Roger, who was currently in Germany for two weeks on business, and had sat in the corner of the living room for the last eight months resigned to a collector of dust and hanger of clothes. He had said he purchased it from a quaint little retail store called Nomdreserv’s Liquidation Outlet (along with a few gallons of Plus Mass Protein Powder Mix). Debra had been looking for the treadmill instructions over the weekend, but had no success in finding them. She shrugged her shoulders and decided to experiment with the treadmill anyway.

Approaching the front of the treadmill, Debra readjusted the waistband of her Speedos to keep them from digging into her sides. She was wearing a gray sport bra which hugged her huge 38DD breasts, which sagged considerably without the benefit of an under-wire. The black Speedos she wore were just as tight (in every area) and caused her mid-section to give off that muffin-top look. She knew she looked horrible and was thankful she could workout at home without the embarrassment of being on display at a public gym. Debra placed her water squeeze bottle in the cup holder on the treadmill and pulled her dry auburn and gray-streaked hair back into a ponytail.

As Debra walked around to the back of the treadmill, she questioned the validity of the waist-high nylon mesh (almost like a mosquito net) that surrounded the machine’s perimeter. Shrugging off such a

non-issue mystery, she unclasped the latch to the rear door mesh of the treadmill and got on.

Approaching the treadmill console, Debra blew off a thick layer of dust and wiped the buttons clear. There were only a few buttons on the console and pretty simplistic ones at that. In fact, they were too simplistic. There was one button with an “S” on it and a digital readout next to it. The next button was marked “M” and had a column of five lights next to it, one on top of the other. Another button had “AGE” on it and next to it was two little buttons, one with an arrow going up and one with an arrow going down. Finally at the end, were a bright red button and a bright green button.

Debra immediately deducted that red meant “OFF” and green meant “ON” and pushed the green button. The machine eerily hummed to life. The entire console quickly lit up with lights and read-outs flashing on and off.

“This first button marked “S” must stand for SPEED”, thought Debra as she pressed it. She jerked her hand back suddenly as she received what felt like a static electrical shock. The readout next to the button immediately showed the number 42.05. “I hope that’s not 42 miles per hour”, Debra questioned, “That may be just a tad too fast for my first day”.

Debra knew the next button marked “M” must stand for MILES, but hesitated after what happened with the last button. “Hell with it!” Debra pressed the “M” buttoned once and the column of lights next to it began to light up, one after another, starting with the bottom one first, till all the lights were on. Debra heard the machine hum a little louder.

The last button was marked “AGE”. “Well, it’s not the correct abbreviation, but it’s got to stand for ANGLE of the incline.” She pushed the button and the two small arrow buttons next to it began flashing. Being her first day, Debra didn’t want to over do it, so she hit the arrow point down button, thinking it meant “NO ANGLE/INCLINE”.

The machine jumped slightly and the sound of gears changed speed and direction could be heard. The green button began beeping and flashing in unison.

Debra took a deep breath. “Well, here we go!” She pressed the green button and the treadmill slowly started.

The platform slowly moved backwards and Debra began a leisure-like pace, until the treadmill’s speed reached it’s plateau and she picked it up to a brisk walk. She soon noticed only two sections of the console showed any activity as she worked-out. The readout next to the “S” button, which had originally read 42.05, now read 40.02 and the top light next to the “M” button kept flashing.

Debra, who wasn’t feeling all that great when she got up this morning, was now feeling better with each step on the treadmill. “I must be getting my second wind”, she remarked as she wiped the first inklings of sweat off her brow with her towel. The readout now read 38.02 and the light was flashing faster. “Okay, now that’s becoming distracting.” Debra threw her sweat towel over the console so she wouldn’t be distracted be the readouts. She also grabbed her daughter’s I-POD off the side of the treadmill and put it on. She hit a button and Tom Petty began to play in the earpiece.

Over the course of the next few minutes, major changes (both physical and mental) were happening to Debra. The gray in her hair had gradually faded until now it was just all auburn brown. The readout clicked 36.08. The lines and crow’s feet around her mouth and eyes receded back into her smooth skin. 34.09. Debra’s once bulbous buttocks had shrank considerably and their previous cottage cheese appearance had all but melted away. 32.03. The bunt and love handles, that Debra had been disgusted and embarrassed with over the last few years, had slowly dissolved away like a failed souffl?. 31.12. The fat tissue in Debra’s stomach was also now reducing at an astonishing rate (she was reaching the point in her life when she was pregnant with Allison). 30.04.

Debra seemed totally oblivious to the metamorphous of her body since she was now lost in her thoughts. Fantasies about how great she was going to look after her baby is born ... wait a minute ... baby? Who’s having a baby?” The top light next to the “M” button turned off, as did all knowledge of her life post Allison. The fourth light now started blinking slowly.

Debra refocused her jumbling thoughts. “What was I just thinking of? Oh yeah, I need to get in shape so I can fit into my wedding dress.” Debra Kirkpatrick dreamed how her wedding was going to be to Roger Wilson (it was strange of how vivid her daydreams were, like they had already happened). Sweat was starting to form on her forehead, armpits and cleavage. The front of her sports bra, which now housed breasts that were a cup-size smaller than what they had been, was now showing sweat spots in the front and the back. The straps were no longer digging into her back and the weight also seemed lighter on her shoulders (but that’s how they always felt, right?).

“Debra Wilson”, she dreamed at how her new name would sound. Strange, but it seemed more familiar to her than it should. She grabbed the towel off the console and wiped herself down, not breaking her stride. She draped the towel back over the console, ignoring the 25.07 readout and the fourth light shutting off.

“Wedding?” Debbie smirked. “Please, me and Roger just met at the bar last weekend. It so awesome that he called me last night though, and he is really cute”, Debbie giggled. She thought of what they should (did?) do on their first date and how she needed to lose a few pounds before the date. She rationalized the latter for the reason she was on the treadmill in the first place. The readout clicked down to23.11.

The figure on the treadmill was now half the size, half the weight and half the age of the figure that had originally started on it. Debra Wilson, an overweight 42 year old wife and mother, had now slowly regressed into the trim, energetic 21 year old college student she used to be. Long, muscular legs trotted along on a steady pace as a tight ass (in a not so tight Speedo) swayed hypnotically in time to her stride. Debra’s every loosing sports bra now contained a perfect pair of tear-drop shaped 32C sized breasts. The bra was also now showing ample cleavage since it had been stretched out by her previous breast size.

Debra again grabbed the towel off the console and wiped down her face and forehead. Her straight auburn hair had gradually reverted back to the reddish tint it had been when she was younger. It had also regained its youthful sheen and sections had begun to kink and curl as it slowly started to unravel out of the ponytail. The readout clicked 19.02.

Debra replaced the towel and readjusted her suddenly over-sized sports bar (her boobs seemed to be moving a little too freely underneath). “No freshmen fifteen for me! A few more minutes on the treadmill, and then I have to get to ready for my college class.” The 18 year old exclaimed, just as the third light clicked off. “Um ... college? ... I mean high school class. Gotta be in shape for cheerleading practice. Senior class of ’82 rules!”

The more Debra jogged forward the faster her body and mind regressed backward. As she trotted back through her high school days, puberty slowly took back the wonderful gifts it had original gave her. The muscular tone on her arms and legs lessened, as did her height, since she was now hitting her last major growth spurt which occurred during her junior year in reverse. Slowly down four inches she went as a freckle or two soon appeared on the bridge of her nose and multiplied quickly across her alabaster face and shoulders. Debra’s curly red hair was now completely out of it’s ponytail and kept getting into her face. “Stupid hair!” The sophomore exclaimed, as she wiped the sweaty unkempt mess out of her face. Her B-Cup breasts kept slowly deflating as her soaked sports bra engulfed them. The full round hips and rear that had previously been poured into the Speedos had flattened slightly and were no longer as tight around the legs or waist. The Console was now level with Debra’s shrinking chest as she lost another three inches in height. The light next to the “M” button was flashing furiously as the readout clicked 14.07.

As soon as the readout reached 14.00, the second to last light blinked off. Debbie’s high school knowledge and memories also blinked off inside her head in synchronicity. A sudden awareness of her strange surroundings sent a chill through the teen’s nubile form. The last 28 years of her life were gone, both physically and mentally, and Debbie reacted as any young girl would in a strange place. She screamed!

Allison’s eyes flew open when she heard the loud scream. Immediately she rolled over and looked at her alarm radio, quickly realizing it wasn’t set to go off for another five minutes. “Must have been a dream” She yawned and tried it savor five more minutes of sleep before getting ready for school. Suddenly, another scream, this time louder and higher in pitch then the previous one. Allison sat up, “What the hell?” She rubbed her eyes, “That came from the living room.” The 12 year old stretched as she got out of bed, adjusted her pink pajama top and bottom and headed toward the living room to investigate.
