Chapter Description: "Ni-ni-nick! A Closer Look! A closer look on this story reveals that it is in fact a fan fic of the Nickelodeon Show 'Drake and Josh'".
Sunlight was pouring into Drake and Josh’s bedroom when Josh woke up. Josh walked, half asleep, downstairs to fix breakfast for Drake and himself. It was Saturday morning, and Josh’s father was scheduled for the morning news. Walter was a weatherman for the local station. Their mother, Audrey, was away at work while Megan spent the night at a friend’s house. Josh whistled an off beat tune as he cooked breakfast, enjoying his quiet time. After cooking eggs and bacon for a half an hour, he called up for Drake.
“Get up and eat, Drake!” Josh heard only occasional movements coming from upstairs for the next thirty minutes. Just when Josh was about to throw Drakes food away, drake came downstairs with an absent minded stare on his face, his body moving only from the desire of nourishment. Drake sat down at the dinner table with a blanket wrapped around him. He slowly load food into his mouth, all the while Josh watched him. Finally, he said something.
“Are you okay, Drake? You don’t look yourself.”
“Whaumdobyoumem?” Drake said through his breakfast.
“Eww, swallow first!” Josh said. Drake obeyed and continued to stare absent-minded at Josh.
“Like that, you’re grosser then normal and you look thin, your clothes are even sagging on you!”
“I’m fine, just . . . tired.” Drake nobbed off, landing face first into the remains of his eggs.

It was approaching noon and Josh was cleaning the house. He hummed aloud as he briskly danced across the room, occasionally stopping to dust something with his long, black and white-feathered duster. When he reached the fireplace mantle, where his family liked to keep pictures of themselves, Josh’s mouth fell open at the sight of an old picture. The picture was of Drake, before Josh’s father had married Drake’s mom. Drake was extremely lean and had a shadowed look to his face.
“Oh my . . . Drake!” Josh yelled as he tore through the house looking for his brother. He found him exactly where he had left him, dozing with a face full of eggs in the kitchen. Josh picked up Drake’s head and shook it. Drake awoken almost instantly.
“Oww!” Drake’s voice cracked as he squealed in pain.
“Drake, look at this picture, does it look familiar?” Josh shoved the picture from the mantle into Drake’s face. Drake studied it for a moment, and then sighed as he replied.
“Yeah, this is a picture of me when we went to the beach. Why?”
“How old were you?”
“Are you serious?” Josh’s face was of complete seriousness, and Drake quickly saw that. He felt a strange urge to appease his brother, something Drake would have never done on normal terms.
“Fine, fine. I was a freshman; probably 14 or so.”
“I knew it!” Josh clenched his fist in determination as he stepped away from Josh.
“Wait, what?”
“When was the last time you looked in the mirror, Drake?”
“What?”
“Oh, answer the question! You remember every place you scrub your hair gel for Pete’s sake!”
“Last night, before I took a shower.”
“Well, you need to look in a mirror!” Josh said as he held up a hand mirror that their mother usually left in the kitchen for unknown reasons.
“Fine but I don’t see why you want me to . . . . . AHHHH!!!”
“See! I told you something was wrong! Compare!” Drake flashed back and forth between the picture and the mirror, trying hard to comprehend how the two images could be one and the same.
“But, how am I 14? I don’t want to be 14! All the hot girls are 17 . . .”
“Lets think, what could have caused this?”
“The shower!” Drake said with an angry look in his eyes.
“Drake, you got to be kidding! If a shower could make you younger mom wouldn’t be wasting her time with millions of skin care products!”
“Dude, it was the only thing I did last night! And besides, I felt weird afterwards and the water was a freaky blue color! It all fits!”
“Except the part where people don’t grow younger by bathing!”
“You have a better explanation?”
“Yeah! You caught some kind of freaky virus or something!”
“Yeah right!”
“It makes more sense then your magical shower!” After fifteen minutes of fighting, Drake was able to place a ceasefire into effect.
“Well how about you take a shower in the water?!”
“Alright I will!” The two boys stomped upstairs.

“Wonder how many years you’ll lose?” Drake said, now wearing old clothes his mother hadn’t yet sent to Purple Heart. It pained him to wear the fashions of three years past, but the idea of wearing his oversized clothes was enough to make him do it. Josh had a towel in hand.
“Wonder how many doctors are gonna pay us to donate you to science?” Josh shot back as he locked the bathroom door with confidence. However, when he turned the shower’s faucet and a cerulean liquid gushed from the shower head, Josh wasn’t feeling as sure of himself. As steam filled the bathroom, he slowly stripped down and entered the shower. At first, he was positive that Drake was wrong, and Josh started singing as he massaged his shampoo into his hair. But slowly, Josh began to feel odd, tired even though he had a good night’s sleep but at the same time a consuming feeling of pleasure overwhelmed him, and he stood dazed in the shower for fifteen minutes. The rest of his shower was blurs running smoothly into each other. He jumped from washing his body to being dried off to having his clothes back on it what seemed like twelve seconds. When he finally exited the bathroom, feeling groggy and unaware, he heard a familiar voice speak to a familiar teenager in a squeaking voice.
“See Drake, the shower isn’t the reason you’re shrinking.” Drake’s eyes were wide, and his mouth had fallen open to its maximum capacity.
“Du . . . dude. Josh, you need to look in the mirror.” Drake said, as he pulled their mother’s mirror in front of Josh. Reflecting back into Josh’s eyes, wearing Josh’s clothes and mimicking Josh’s unruly hairstyle was a young boy, no older then 11.

“Wha, what happened to me?” Josh wailed in his squeaky, pre-puberty voice. He was only 11 years old now, his clothes sagging completely on him. Now that Josh was out of his trance-like state, he was clumsily tripping over his giant clothes while Drake grinned.
“Looks like you’ll need some smaller clothes, little bro.” Drake said as he pinched Josh’s cheek.
“Drake, I’m not a little kid!” Josh stamped his foot onto the ground as he declared this.
“Shall we make you a little kid?” Drake smiled devilishly.
“N-n-no.” Josh responded, seeing Drake glance towards the bathroom. Drake currently outranked Josh by the worst possible three years; three years in puberty can make the difference between being cut out or cuddly. Josh, with his slimmed child physique, was in the cuddly department and knew Drake could easily wrestle him into the shower.
“Good, now let me get you some better clothes.” Drake said as he pulled down a trap door that lead into the attic.
Nows my chance! Josh though. With feats of speed that wouldn’t have been possible by older, chunkier Josh, young Josh dove under his bed, retrieved a water bottle whose plastic was blue and quickly filled it to the brim with magical water from the sink.
I need to remember that this affects all of our water, Josh noted. Josh had his water safely tucked away in a dresser as Drake came down the latter.
“These should do just fine.” Drake said as he threw some clothes over to Josh. It was a tee shirt and a pair of shorts, with underwear. Josh put them on, and to his horror, the shirt was his old Plaid shirt his great aunt knitted for him. He hated the thing, and Drake knew it.
“Why are you being so mean?” Josh demanded as he snuck over towards the dresser..
“Well, its kind of fun to push around a little guy.” Drake admitted.
“Really?” Josh asked.
“Yeah,” Drake responded as he walked closer to Josh. Once he was their, he bent down to put his eyes even with Josh’s, pinching hid check again.
“Too bad you’ll never get to experience it!”
“You think?” Josh said as he whipped out the bottle of water, spraying it into Drake’s open mouth. Drake gagged, and Josh saw the water take instant results. Drake’s body looked like it was melting as he shrunk into his clothes, his arms become feeble and weak while his face puffed up from childhood like Josh’s had. A sprinkle of freckles meant that Drake had regressed into a child of about Josh’s age - 11 or 12.
“Why you!” Drake bellowed at Josh, but Josh burst out laughing from Drake’s high-pitched voice. Drake tried to walked towards Josh, but his pants hit the ground while he was barely able to catch his boxers. Josh burst out laughing.
“Maybe you should just wear your shirt like a gown?!” Josh laughed. Drake ran out of the room crying.
Serves him right! Josh though.

Josh hadn’t heard a peep from Drake for almost an hour. Since Drake and Josh were once again the same age, only younger, the biggest kid won. Although youth had trimmed him, Josh was still larger then Drake, who was apparently a scrawny child. Thus Josh had his video games to himself, not noticing Drake tiptoe past him into the bathroom. About five minutes later, Drake emerged from the bathroom, shrieking.
“Reach for the sky, Josh!” Before he had time to react, Drake blasted Josh was a super soaker. Josh could feel his age dwindling.
“Ha! I’m in charge again! I’m in charge! I’m in charge! I’m mwuhhahgaga!” Josh fired a super soaker back at Drake, hitting him in the mouth. Josh realized last time that the water worked better when it entered the body instead of hitting it, so while Josh only lost a year or two to make him about 10, Drake shrank down to six.
“Finally! You’re acting your age!” Josh smirked.
“Join the party!” Drake fired at Josh, who was too slow to avoid the stream of water. He quickly dwindled to age 8. The battle continued for hours, and soon, both brothers realized they had only enough water for one shot. At the same time, they decided to make their moves. Drake and Josh jumped up and fired their last bolts of water at each other, hitting them both square in the chest. When the regression was complete, both were only three years old.
“I get more wa-wa first!” Drake screamed as he toddled to the bathroom.
“No! Me!” Josh cried, grabbing Drake’s legs, toppling the boy over. Drake started to brawl, and Josh followed. However, in their tantrumed state, Drake slammed his tiny fist down upon the television’s remote, long discarded after the night before. The television flickered on, an what should appear on TV then Kevin Seven. The bright colors and flashing effects the show had mesmerized young Drake and Josh, causing their attention to shift from each other and their condition to the television. Lucky for them, the station was holding a marathon of Kevin Seven . The boys, worn out from regressing, feel asleep in front of the television.

Later that Afternoon . . . .
“Drake! Josh! Megan and I are home!” Audrey yelled as she shut the door. She waited, but no answer.
“Don’t worry mom, I’ll go find them. You just relax.” Megan said the her mother as she ran up the steps into Drake and Josh’s room. When she entered, she saw two small boys wrapped around each other, fast asleep.
“I trust this is what you wanted?” A man in a long wizard’s robe said to Megan, seemingly appearing from nowhere.
“Only if I get the remote. I need to change them back for my blog picture.”
“Very well, don’t forget to turn off the faucet though. Can’t let them figure out your little prank, ehh Megan.”
“Little is a great word for this, isn’t it?”
“Indeed, just don’t get too carried away, my dear. Oh, and by the way, your father forgot his receipt.” The old man said as he placed a small piece of paper into Megan’s hand as he disappeared with a crackle.
“I suppose it’s how you defined carried away.” Megan said as she fumbled with the button on the remote the man had given her. After accepting the code Megan required, both Drake and Josh returned to normal sized, in shredded clothing, fast asleep.
“Mmm, hmm. Lets see what other types of fun I can have with my baby brothers.” Megan said with a dervish smile. As she snapped a picture, as both Drake and Josh began melting away again.
