When making a wish, think carefully because for every action, there is a reaction

Chapter 1
Not a firefly

Chapter Description: When making a wish, be careful how you word it because for every action there is a reaction

Humans are weird, cute, but weird. They come up with so many ways to celebrate life yet also spend a lot of that time being miserable, so weird. It could be worse though, at least they aren’t hunting my kind anymore.

Good thing too since I feel like having some fun.

It was hideous, so much pink and yellow that screamed out ?I’m a baby, hug me!’. She hated it, yet she felt drawn to it.

“I think you might be a bit big for that” Tracy remarks while Blaire continues to look at the costume. Tracy and Blaire, one 21, the other just a few days away from reaching her 20th birthday. They’ve been friends since their first day at pre-school, though you would think they were bitter enemies at times.

“Maybe if I strap my breasts down I might fit into it” Blaire answers. Tracy laughs.

“If you sucked those in your backside would get even bigger”

“At least I have them to strap down, what’s your excuse?” Tracy’s development was still ongoing, she was usually mistaken for a child despite her height due to the lack of bust and general body development, while Blaire had developed hugely. Due to this Tracy tended to feel insecure about herself and hid that insecurity behind harsh words.

Blaire however, despite her more womanly development, had a more innocent quality to her which tended to land her in trouble due to some bad mistakes, she tried to hide that quality by trying to act more mature and usually failing.

“I’m a work in progress. Do you want that costume?”

“Sure, why not”

“I get first dibs on pointing and laughing when it rips and gives everyone a peep show”

“Peep show?”

“As in ?Oh wow, she’s naked, grab your cameras boys!’. It would be a Youtube hit”

“Sometimes I wonder why we’re friends”

“Sparkling personality?”

“More like cruel fate. What costume are you going to buy? The other one since it might suit you?” The other costume was just as cute with plenty of frills on it. Tracy sticks her tongue out.

“Yuk, no way. I’ve got my eye on something a little more grown up”

She watches them enter the costume shop and head over to the costumes they were going to buy. She twinkles a little as she mutters a few words, just enough to make some fun happen soon.

After all it was Halloween.

That night after buying the costumes and heading home, they lived across the street from one another, Blaire was wondering just how she was going to fit in the costume. She knew she could try strapping her breasts down and being sure not to do any sudden movements, but that would be painful.

Picking the costume up she examines it and finds that somehow it was now stretchable.

Why I see that before?” She wonders to herself. Shrugging she gets ready for going out for the night.

Across the road Tracy was also examining her costume, she wondered just how she was going to wear it since she didn’t exactly have much to fill it with. Unlike her sister who couldn’t even walk into a room without drawing a man’s attention, Tracy, for some reason, wasn’t developing and she hated it.

She hated it even more when people kept calling her a child.

Maybe I can use tissue paper, like a whole forest?s worth” She wonders as she gets ready.

While they were getting into their costumes a small light watched them, it twinkled happily and was unseen by those passing by. She was going to enjoy this.

“Blaire, Tracy’s here!” Blaire’s mum calls from down stairs.

“Be right there!” Blaire replies. She examined herself in the mirror and she couldn’t help but be surprised at how well the costume was fitting her, it was like it had grown to fit her perfectly. Grabbing her coat and handbag from her bed, she heads downstairs to see Tracy waiting in the living room.

“Why aren’t you in your costume?” She asks.

“I am, it’s a little loose”

“Maybe you need some miracle grow”

“Ha ha, very funny, class act there. You look cute, no rips?”

“None, the costume fits just great”

“That’s surprising considering it was a costume for a baby”

“I know. Let’s get going then” Blaire’s mum enters the living room and sees her daughter in her costume.

“Now that is cute, you almost look like you did when you were a baby, well minus the thick nappy, a dummy in your mouth and those chubby cheeks you used to have. Let me just get the camera”

“No camera! Let’s run before she’s renewing my baby album” Quickly they leave the house and proceed to where a Halloween party is being held, a little ball of light following them at a distance.

On the way there, Tracy driving, Blaire was fixing her costume, for some reason it was feeling different. She couldn’t explain it, but it was like her body was changing. Maybe she was just tired.

“Are you okay? You keep fidgeting” Tracy remarks as she turns left at one junction.

“I’m fine” Blaire noticed something else now, Tracy was looking a little different, it was like the costume was fitting better. “How much tissue paper did you use?” She asks.

“I didn’t”

“Sure you did, that costume is fitting you”

“Of course it would fit me, jealous?”

“What do you mean by jealous?” Blaire then realised that something wasn’t right, the seat seemed a little bigger, and she had switched from the front passenger seat to the back seat.

“Tracy, something weird is going on” Blaire remarks.

“Now I did say that you should have gone before we set out”

“What do you mean? Tracy, something’s really wrong here!” The car seemed to be getting bigger and as she tried to move forward she found she was strapped down in a child car seat. She looked down and yelped.

“My breasts, where are my breasts?” She cries out in alarm, as she starts to feel something thick and soft develop between her legs. “Tracy, I’m turning into a baby! Stop the car!”

“Oh sweetie, what an imagination, you are a baby” A little voice suddenly says beside her and Blaire turns her head to see a little ball of light floating near her.

“What’s going on?” Blaire asks, wincing at the sound of her voice which sounded so small, so young.

“Some fun. You see your friend is now your baby sitter and a very well developed baby sitter at that, while you, well you’re the baby. I thought it would be only fair considering that your poor friend felt so inferior next to you, now you can be the one who depends on her to tend to you”

“Turn me back, please!”

“Hmm, let me think. I could, but then where would the fun be? Oh and you’re dreaming”

Blaire jolts awake and sees Tracy standing over her.

“You really are impossible to take anywhere. You fell asleep not long after we got here, the party ended. We best get back” Tracy remarks.

“I was dreaming that I was turning into a baby and you were all developed, all grown up”

“Nice dream. Come on” Blaire tried to make sense of her dream as she and Tracy headed to the car, Tracy seemed angry, must have been a rough night.

“Are you okay?” Blaire asks.

“Sure I am, other than being called a kid several times and even being treated like one, I’m fine” Tracy replies harshly. “Everyone said you were cute and sexy, while they kept saying I was up past my bedtime! Why couldn’t you be the kid and me be the fully grown, fully blossomed adult?”

“Don’t let them get to you”

“Easy for you to say, you could wear an outfit that makes you look like you’re barely over a year old and men still think you’re the hottest thing on two legs, I can’t even be seen as the adult I am in this costume!”

“You’ll develop, it can take some people time” Tracy laughs harshly in reply.

“Time, yeah, I’m almost twenty and I still look like I’m barely past the physical development of a seven year old! So if time is going to do something then it’s been delayed” After getting in the car, Tracy still fuming, they head back home. As they do the little ball of light follows them.

“Make her the child and you the fully developed adult? Easy” A little voice comments.

When they got back it was still an hour to midnight, the party hadn’t lasted wrong. Tracy, still feeling pretty raw from the way she had been treated, invited Blaire over since Blaire didn’t want to go waking her parents up and Tracy’s parents were out on a business trip.

The little ball of light watched them and easily passed through the window, then moved to a corner and continued to watch.

“Maybe hormone treatments could help you” Blaire comments as she and Tracy get ready for bed, Tracy taking the bed and Blaire taking a make shift bed made out of beanbags, pillows and a few blankets.

“Already looked into that, mum is worried that they might cause health problems” Tracy replies.

“Implants?”

“Too expensive and I don’t like the idea to be honest, I just want to develop naturally”

“Do they know why you aren’t developing?”

“Something to do with the way my body is, I don’t understand the full details” Making sure the make shift bed was comfortable enough, Blaire sits down on the bed.

“A way will be found” She says softly.

“Yep, a way will be found and I’m here to do that!” A little voice says suddenly and the ball of light moves from the corner and positions itself above them.

“How did a firefly get in here?” Tracy asks as she grabs something to squash it with.

“We don’t get firefly’s here” Blaire replies.

“I am not a firefly! Arrogant humans!” The ball of light squeaks angrily. It moves quickly to avoid being hit by Tracy.

“Tracy, wait, it could just be us seeing things”

“I am not a trick of the mind either!”

“Then what are you?” Blaire asks as Tracy watches the ball of light.

“I am as I am, you humans always want to define things. Maybe I should redefine you two!” A flash of light and Tracy yelps in surprise as she shrinks into her clothing, becoming seven years old in full. “Oops, wrong person. Okay, let’s try this again. One to be young, one to be grown up, and fitting it shall be” Another flash of light and it disappears. Blaire looks over to Tracy, who’s still a child, and watches in surprise as Tracy beings to glow and grow.

As Tracy began to get older again, her body began to develop. Her bust size increased, her hip size increased and as Blaire watched in surprise Tracy was once again the age she was, but she looked a lot more mature in terms of development.

“I’ve got a backside at last! And ooh, look at those!” Tracy cries with delight as she examines herself after hopping off the bed and rushing over to her mirror. After plumping and admiring herself, she turns to Blaire and watches in surprise as her friend begins to glow.

“Blaire?”

“What’s happening to me? Why is everything becoming so big?” Blaire cries out as her body begins to age in reverse, her clothes start to change as her body drops in development and age. “Help me!” She holds her hands out and sees that they’ve become so much smaller, her fingers puffing up, her arms doing the same thing.

Tracy didn’t know what to do, it was happening so quickly. Within seconds her friend had gone from twenty one years of age to around five years and she was still becoming younger. Her clothes had changed into baby clothes and Tracy could see a thick nappy appearing between her friends legs.

The glow faded and Tracy knelt down, picking up the tiny baby girl who was crying her heart out.

“Aww hell” Tracy whispers.

“Now isn’t that better? You got to be all grown up and you even get to baby sit! It is what you wished for after all, and before you ask, no refunds” The little voice says as the ball of light returns.

“I didn’t make a wish, I didn’t wish this to happen to her!”

“But you did, you said that you wish she was the kid and you were the adult, and now she is the kid, a nappy filling, drooling, adorable little bundle of cuteness while you’re the adult, all grown up and as developed as you wished to be. Now you could take her over to her parents, but you see I altered reality a little bit, your her baby sitter for the night while they have a break. So until morning you could be changing nappies, feeding her and just generally looking after her” Blaire’s cries turn to whimpers, then to snuffles and finally to soft coos and light babbling as she cuddles against Tracy.

“Please, you have to reverse what you’ve done to her” Tracy begs.

“No can do, once the wish is made it can never be unmade. I guess you’ve never heard of the myth of never making a wish on Halloween, because when it comes true, it stays true. Enjoy, and you might want to change her, she’s peeing” The ball of light disappears and Tracy sees that it was right.

“I’m so sorry” She whispers to her now infantile friend. “Let’s get you cleaned up”

The next morning, after a somewhat restless night, Tracy drops Blaire off with her parents, she was grateful at least that the unusual ball of light had made baby supplies appear or it would have been a bit of a problem caring for Blaire.

“Was she any trouble?” Blaire’s mum asks as she bounces her daughter on her knee.

“Other than the usual baby things, no trouble at all. She’s adorable”

“And she knows it. Thank you for watching her for the night, with so many trick or treaters last night I was worried that she would be woken up a lot from the noise”

“It’s no problem, I was happy to look after her and it wasn’t like I was doing anything for the night”

“No parties?”

“I didn’t feel like a party mood”

“Well it was nice of you, I’ll go get some money to pay you for your trouble” Handing Blaire to Tracy, Blaire’s mum goes to get some money. Blaire babbles happily as Tracy holds her, her bright eyes cheerful.

“I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to turn you into a baby, I should have been more careful with my words” In reply Blaire drools a little as a slight hissing sound can be heard. “Fitting revenge that, being peed on by my best friend”

The little ball of light giggles to itself, it could have reversed the wish, but it was more fun to just not bother. Another ball of light appears next to it.

“You can be really cruel sometimes” The second ball of light comments.

“That I can be. Reducing one to a nappy filling cutie and giving one all she wanted, but at a price. Not as good as previous wishes I’ve granted but still a good one”

“Why didn’t you do the same to her?”

“I wanted to be nice and cruel at the same time. Now let’s go find someone else to play around with, I feel like returning someone else to babyhood, and maybe making someone really miserable at the same time”

“Cruel, so cruel”

“What fun, yes?”

“Very” The two balls of light disappear, leaving Tracy bouncing Blaire on her knee.

Be careful what you wish for on Halloween.
