The Costume Shop

Chapter Description: Tabitha and Jake go Looking for a Costume for their Halloween party.

Tabitha was a 19 year old freshman in college. Her boyfriend, Jake, was also. She had been dating Jake since their sophomore year in high school, and although they hadn’t made any commitments yet, she felt that as soon as they graduated college he would pop the question. She was very much looking forward to this. Tabitha was never one to look back on the past and wish for a return to things, except on Halloween. For the last few years Tabitha had dressed up and went to parties, but she still missed the days she spent as a kid dressing up and going door to door. This didn’t matter however, as she did not think ever reliving that would be possible.

Today was October 22nd. She knew Halloween was coming very soon and wanted to make sure her and Jake had costumes for the party they were going to. Jake met Tabitha at the door and she drove them around. She decided to drive this time since Jake always passed all the "good" places. He wasn’t one, who really liked to dress up, but for Tabitha he’d been doing it for years just to make her happy; and by this point it didn’t seem that bad. Tabitha was driving down the road when she spotted a small stand alone store next to the Christmas store that she had not seen before. The shop looked fairly old but since it was obviously a Halloween store, most likely designed to compete with the Christmas store for seasonal marketing, it could have very well been brand new. Tabitha pulled into the parking lot and went inside.

Inside the store was much like the outside, spooky and old looking. A nice looking elderly lady sat behind the counter. She greeted them when they came in. "Happy Halloween store!" The old lady chimed. Tabitha laughed a little at the corny greeting. "Hi, um, I’m looking for costumes for my boyfriend and I.” The old lady smiled at Tabitha "you like trick or treating don’t you?" Tabitha smiled, caught a little off guard "huh? Oh, yes I used to, but we’re just going to a party this year." The old lady pointed to the back of the store and said "costumes are back there, feel free to try any of them on. You might find that... special one you’re looking for." she said with a strange smirk. Tabitha was a little wary of this, but thanked her and headed to the back. Jake mulled around looking at the costumes in the men’s department while Tabitha quickly picked out a cat woman suit. She thought it’d be perfect to wear for Jake, something sexy yet still costume based. She took it into the dressing room and began to undress.

Tabitha undressed to her underwear and then pulled the sleek black 1 piece bikini with the built in woven black hoes over her frame. The outfit fit her well, perhaps too well. Tabitha knew Jake would like it, but felt like it might be a little too revealing for the party. Tabitha took it off and hung it on the rack of costumes left in the room from others trying them on. One of the other things she noticed no the rack however was a classic princess outfit. It looked a little small, the outfit said ages 7-12 but Tabitha had a small frame, she figured it might just fit.

Tabitha pulled the princess dress up over her waist like putting on a pair of pants, it was a little tight at first but the more she pulled the easier it got. She didn’t have to pull hard at all. When she got it up to her shoulders she felt her bra slipping off her shoulder. She grabbed it at her right breast, attempting to grab it and pull it back over her shoulder, but when she grabbed at her breast, she was met with a flat chest. Alarmed, she looked up at the mirror. In the reflection of the mirror was a 7 year old girl wearing a baggy bra and a well fitted princess outfit. Tears began to fill up in Tabitha’s eyes as she quickly stripped out of the outfit. As soon as it hit the floor however, she found herself to be back in her 19 year old body.

Tabitha was confused, but thought she understood, she went back to the rack and sorted through it. She pulled out a small shiny purple clown outfit. The outfit was 2 pieces top and bottom. Reading the label she noted that the age on it was ages 2-5. She took off her bra and then grabbed the top. Placing it over her head her vision was clouded by the inside of the shiny purple clown suit. It wouldn’t clear her head at first, but after only a very little bit of tugging it cleared her head. Tabitha’s vision returned, facing the mirror she now found herself as a 2 year old girl. Tabitha’s panties fell to the floor as she smiled slightly, for some reason she thought the panties falling was funny. She took the clown top off and once again as her vision returned on the other side of the clown suit found her naked 19 year old body standing in between her panties on the floor.

Tabitha smiled and peaked out of the door. "Jake, come here a minute honey" she called. Jake walked over to the dressing room. "Yes Tab?" he said. He could see that she wasn’t wearing anything on her shoulders, but figured it was because she was going to show him something strapless. "Come in here a minute please" she said. Jake looked over his shoulder at the old lady at the counter, she was reading a book. Jake snuck into the dressing room. He was surprised to find her naked inside. "Woa tab... here? What’s going on?" Tabitha laughed a little "no silly, I just wanted to give you something to look at while you try on the costume I picked out for you. Jake smiled. Tabitha sat him down on the bench in the room and rummaged through the rack of clothes in the room until she found a Darth Vader outfit. The age on the back was children age 5-7. "I... can’t wear that tab, that’s for little boys" Jake immediately said. "Oh don’t say that until you try it on. Tabitha grabbed the mask and put it over Jake’s face from behind. Jake couldn’t tell very well looking through the eye holes of the mask, but he could tell that Tabitha was now much taller than him. He was also distracted as his pants and underwear fell to the floor. "What’s going on?!" Jake said in a 5 year old’s voice. He caught himself and attempted to cover his mouth but as he did his hands hit the mask and hurt his nose. "Isn’t it great?" Tabitha said. She grabbed the mask and pulled it off. Jake grew in an instant from 5 back to his 19. Still standing there without any pants or underwear on. "These costumes make us the youngest age for it!" Tabitha said. "We can trick or treat again! Here, I’m going as a princess, maybe I can do my hair up like Leia and you can go as Vader." Jake looked concerned as he pulled up his pants. "I dunno Tab; I don’t want to be a kid again." Tabitha spun around looking at him as she fastened her bra. "Oh come on Jake, its only for one night, you grow back as soon as you take the costume off... please... jakey?" She said as she gently massaged his shoulders. She knew that always made him say yes. "Oh... okay...” he said finally.

Tabitha finished dressing and picked up the complete Vader and princess costumes and the two of them left the dressing room. "We’ll take these" Tabitha said, plopping them down on the counter and getting her wallet out of her purse. The old lady smiled when she saw them. "I told you you’d find some SPECIAL costumes here honey; I hope you enjoy your Halloween." Tabitha smiled, she was excited. "Yes maam, we will. What do I owe you?" The old lady rang up the items with a barcode scanner. "Only a penny my dear" Tabitha looked at her confused. "A penny? Are you sure?" The lady smiled and nodded "yes dear, you can only live once, but what they don’t say is for how long." Tabitha smiled a little and gave the lady a penny from her purse. "Just be sure not to wear them past midnight!" The old lady said as Tabitha and Jake walked out the door. Tabitha couldn’t contain her excitement; she jumped up and down with joy as she walked to the car. "I can’t wait this is so great!" she said. Jake didn’t seem so excited. "Maybe, but we gotta be careful not to wear them past midnight, who knows what will happen."
