Chapter Description: Carla enters her first of school (again). However, it seems that isn't the problem as their enemies have made their first move.
6:00AM
The alarm buzzed. Carla started drift awake. She tried to slam her hand at the alarm but her arms were too short. She became angry and got up, slamming the snooze button. She went to bathroom to take a shower.
A couple of minutes later after getting out of the shower, she put on her ensemble of white/pink shirt with blue jeans. She came out of her room to the smell of breakfast. It was Kevin making eggs and bacon.
“Wow, you’re making breakfast, all the other guys I hang out with just buy McDonalds.” She said.
“Wow, you’re the first woman who complimented me about my food.” He appreciated.
“Ready to relearn, you’re ABCs while trying to look for a weapon of mass destruction?”
“When you put like it that, I have to. It’s my homework for the Agency.” Carla answered back.
SOMEWHERE IN A NEARBY MCDONALDS, 7:24 AM
A McDonalds is getting ready for the upcoming breakfast shift. While the drive-thru is clogged up, the restaurant is a tad bit empty with only a few people eating in.
“Okay, hold on, I’m getting coffee, I’ll be there in a half.” called Wendy on the phone, a businesswoman who’s in a hurry. She ordered her latte when it started to get foggy. “Guys, is it smoky in here and why does it smell like mint?” Wendy wondered. The other restaurateurs started to notice the smoke too. The odd thing was that nothing was fire but the smoke was affecting them so they tried to leave the restaurant. But as they did, the door wouldn’t bulge. The smoke was filling up inside as the people trapped inside trying to escape. However, they started getting dizzy and soon passed out. A couple minutes later, firefighters broke open the doors. They inspected inside to miraculously, the people inside were still breathing. A firefighter notices a young girl and tries to resuscitate her. After performing CPR, she starts coughing and gets some oxygen. “Are you okay, little girl?” said the firefighter. “Little girl? I may look young but I’m 33.” replied Wendy. However, as her sight recovered, she noticed something odd, there was a reflection on the firefighters visor. Wendy knew what she looked like in the morning but now, something was different. “Oh my god, I’m…I’m a little girl.” Wendy was shocked. But she wasn’t the only one.
“What the fuck is this?”
“Holy shit! I’m a kid again!”
“No, this can’t be right!”
“Am I dreaming? This has to be, it’s impossible!”
Wendy then got up and saw that her business suit was falling off her. Her dress shirt was too big with her sleeves flopping back and forth. She almost tripped on her heels as her feet were too small and her skirt fell off, revealing her lace panties which were slipping off as well. She then saw the aftermath as paramedics were treating the other victims. However, Wendy remember seeing adults throughout the restaurant before passing out and now, they were kids as well. All of them had oversized clothes and have no memory of what happened before passing out. Many claim they are adults saying they’re 20 to 43 when they’re now 7 to 14 years old. Wendy then sat down on a table and sobbed as she called the phone and called her secretary. “Bobbi, it’s me Wendy. Tell Frank, I may not be on work on time.”
However, Bobbi responded “Hello, Wendy, is that you? Why do sound like you’re on helium? Wendy, are you ok?”
Then, a group of men and women in suits come in the restaurant. They observe what happened as one men tells a woman, “Quarantine this area, say there was a fire. None of this goes public.”
The woman then says, “What about the victims?”
“Obtain them and call the rest of Agency, it looks like they made their first move.”
Wendy then felt a stab on her arm, as she looked, it was the firefighter who just revived her as he gave her a needle shot. Wendy soon feels groggy and her eyes close as she went to sleep.
7:52 AM
As Kevin drives Carla to school, he gets a call from the phone. His car answers it.
“Agent Monroe”
“Monroe, Donovan, state your status.”
“Dropping Donovan off in the school.”
“Agents, we got a problem, it looks like the bastards were after already made their first move. A gas was let loose at a McDonalds a couple minutes ago. We’ve quarantined the perimeter but it appears they already claimed some victims.”
“How many sir?” Carla questioned.
“Thankfully they were no deaths but 10 people were affected by something we believe is X-13.”
“Wait, X-13?” Kevin wondered as Carla questioned, “What’s X-13?”
“The formula that made you what you are right now, Miss Donovan.”
“How can they do that?”
“It appears they managed to convert the formula into a gas.”
“Oh, you got to be fucking kidding me!” Kevin angrily said.
“So what do we do boss?”
“The mission will resume as planned. Meet up with the objective and once you made contact with her, report back. Is that clear, Agent Donovan?” the Boss ordered.
“Clear, sir.” Carla responded.
The two then enter school premises as Kevin dropped off Carla.
“Well, now that shit has hit the window, you have make friends in order to find our enemies. And that 1+1=2, understood?” Kevin reminded.
“Yes jackass, I know, I hope she likes me.”
“She will, just remember. Act like a kid and there will be no suspicion.”
“I know” Carla reminded Kevin as she left the truck.
Carla then walked towards the school as memories stated coming back of her times back when she was a kid at elementary school. A wave of memories hit her as she saw visions of the school days she experienced.
As she looked for the class she was assigned too, she looked all over the school’s students, looking lost.
The school bell rang and all the students hurried to their classes. Carla found her class as the rest of the students got in. She looked at the classroom, seeing assignments tacked on the wall, formula and notes taped to walls, and the cabinets that filled up the room. She decided to sit all the way in the back all while getting looks from the class kids, obviously since she was the new kid. She sat in the back row with two other kids. She looked around; looking for Erica Peters but it seemed she hadn’t arrived yet but then saw her run to the classroom.
“You’re late, Erica but then, so am I. Its takes forever to buy a latte these days. Just be sure to go to class on time okay?”
“Thanks, Ms. Marshall.” Erica thanked her teacher as she entered the classroom.
Carla breathed a sigh of relief as the mission continued.
