New story universe - Math based problems create unique solutions for a young man with some learning difficulties, what will he use his new found powers to do

Chapter 1
Chapter 1

"TYLER!" Miss Megan demanded as the young boy sat up in class with a jolt; "Are you paying attention young man?"

Tyler sheepishly tried to shrink into the floor as best as he could before turning to look directly at the class room teacher.

"Y.y.yes Miss Megan!" He squeaked out trying to find some confidence, "You were asking about question number six, right?"

Miss Megan wrinkled her nose adjusting the square set glasses on her face some pushing them back on the ridge.

"If that's what you believe I was asking about, perhaps you can demonstrate the solution to the class?" Miss Megan relaxed slightly into a I know you weren't paying attention and I've caught you out doing so stance.

Tyler however ignored her frowning a little as he stood up from the small desk he was sat at, walking past the teacher's desk to the smart-board as he turned to face the small class of other challenged students.

"Question six..." Tyler frowned looking up to the smart-board and picking up the thick black electric pen as he very slowly read the information before him; he was never very good at reading in fact he had issues with keeping track of where the numbers and letters were supposed to be suffering from quite heavy dyslexia; but he was always up for any challenge driving himself to do his best.

"X equals .." He had to really focus as the the information on the board danced before him, but he copied it out as best as he could, "One-F(k)=limit of x->infinity)(N_x(k))/x<=two^(-etak)" He didn't understand it at all and he messed up where some of the character he went he were sure as he looked back to Miss Megan for approval.

Except Miss Megan didn't respond, she just stood there frozen.

"Miss Megan?" Tyler asked confused as he looked around the bored faces of his other four classmates, each of them equally frozen, not moving, not breathing, completely static."

"Uhhhhh...." Tyler gulped feeling a nervous spot of wetness form in his slightly padded incontinence pants, "W..wh?"

Everyone in the room still frozen, there was no response as his nervousness started to grow into full on panic.

"Miss Megan??" Tyler cautiously stepped forward moving up to the teacher, she continued to be unresponsive.

Tyler tugged lightly on Miss Megan only for her to start to fall forward and as Tyler jumped back in shock, hover before him mid-fall.

"Oooh... I'm dreaming I see." Tyler said to himself, knowing everyone else would be frozen, "Or maybe I've finally cracked and gone insane" He giggled to himself a little.

He was running his hands under the falling Miss Megan like a magician showing off a spectacular trick as a soft golden light started to shine under the door, Tyler noticing it backed away and sat at his desk.

"I think it's in.." Tyler heard a quiet voice from the other side of the door as he froze as best he could in place at the desk as another voice joined in, he didn't know for sure what was on the other side of the door but given it was the only thing moving he wanted to avoid it dream or not.

Tyler didn't move as he heard the door open, the voices now clearer, "Give it a quick sweep, but it's likely already moved on."

From the corner of his eye he saw someone in a black body fitting uniform peeking in the door and looking around the room, Tyler held his breath, not moving, not blinking as he could see a short black dog like creature in a black military style uniform come into his line of sight snuffling around looking at the board and nodding moving towards it and placing a small device down beside it.

"Remote charge set; looks like an accidental resolution of the Collatz equation, no sign of solver they probably are off robbing a bank or something." The dog creature said speaking into it's collar as it left the room tail wagging, Tyler still stayed frozen until the door closed.

From the front of the class there was a soft beeping as the device started to erase parts he had written on the board, as the first number vanished everything set into motion again, Miss Megan taking a stumbling half-step forward towards the board before looking to where Tyler sat at his desk.

"Yes quite, as you can see class what Tyler has written on the board is an impossible equation, something we don't know how to solve." Miss Megan curtly explained, "Such math problems could if solved change our very understanding of the universe itself."

Tyler's eyes widened a little in understanding as the rest of the class nodded in boredom only to light up as the break bell rang, the rest of the class jumping out of seats and rushing to the door as Tyler made his way to the front of the class room and picked up the electronic pen, clicking on it as the equation he had managed to write incorrectly popped up for just a second; as it did time froze again before Tyler clicked the pen again and the equation vanished again and time started just as instantly as it had stopped.

Tyler clicked the pen one more time, sneaking it into his pocket and moving away from the board a little before pressing the button again, ensuring Miss Megan didn't see him borrowing it from the class room, he would get to experiment with it more later.

Interlude

---

In the space between time and reality there's a small cupboard where the keepers of reality await deployment, they were celebrating the most recent missions success, it didn't really matter that the person that solved the equation hadn't been found yet; they always would try it again and at that point more serious steps could be taken.  They were all celebrating the success so much they didn't even notice the mission alarm light pulse and go off, pulse and then go off again.
