Always pay attention to your surroundings

Chapter 1
The Oops Award Goes To

Chapter Description: Always Pay Attention To Your Surroundings

Always pay attention to your surroundings

Wipes, baby powder, extra nappies, secured baby seat. As prepared as ever and a good thing too considering what's happened. She liked to be prepared for anything no matter how unlikely.

“So what have you learned from this mishap?” Her companion asks from the driver's seat as they head to their hotel, the excursion into a recently uncovered temple hadn't exactly gone to plan.

“I was paying attention though!” The toddler in the baby seat protests, her voice starting to take on a bit of a lisp. Barely an hour ago the rather cute toddler had been a grown woman in her late thirties, now she was around or just under two years old and gradually losing herself to her increasingly regressing mind, she is trying to hold onto her adult mind as best as possible but it's quite hard to do the longer she's this age.

“You were? Let's see, we had the layout and you found a room that had been missed by those who had unearthed the temple. Now instead of using the drone to map it and get an idea of any old traps and the stability of the room, you decided to just walk on in without any plan, any consideration for potential dangers. And what happened next?” The vehicle enters onto the main road and turns left to the nearby town where their hotel is.

“How was I know that the instant I stepped on that pressure plate that it would cause a gas to be released that surrounded me? I didn't know! You didn't!” The toddler folds her arms and pouts, which only adds to her cuteness.

“Always be prepared for the unlikely, isn't that one of the main rules of this line of work? Note your surroundings, don't take risks, don't be reckless. We were there to simply get an idea of the temple and find any rooms that may have been missed, to make good use of the drone to get a lay of the land. Not get reduced to a toddler who's first act was to need cleaning up and a nappy. You best hope this is temporary because you may be growing up again the slow way though I really have to admit that you are adorable, I'm going to see if there's a bonny baby contest going since you'll probably win” The toddler pout intensifies at hearing this.

“I am not cute! I'm a grown woman!” The lisp strengthens, she maybe had less than an hour before her adult mind was fully replaced with that of a young child.

So much for her career.

“If you say so, I'll check your nappy when we get back to the hotel. You should enjoy the last moments of your adult mind as it sounds like you're losing the fight” She did, by the time they returned to the hotel her adult mind was gone and there was just a bubbly, happy toddler in her place.

She did grow up again eventually, took a while and she was left with a rather strong fondness of wearing nappies for comfort and a rather unexpected side effect of regressing once a month for about a week, the gas as it turned out had an element of a curse to it. Whoever the temple had been for clearly had less lethal ideas for traps.

Always check your surroundings unless you want to regress.

And the award for the oops award goes to, well the woman who's just regressed back to a baby again. Oops.
