The Lifeless Halloween

At 6:30 PM, in New York, a Lifeless worker (an ordinary person), Hans, drove home from work at the Lifeless Skyscraper (named Yurio) to see his family. He had been working in one of the Yurio’s laboratories on the 15th floor. His boss had asked him to leave there for a few days so he could have some break. One of the Yurio’s scientists gave him a Lifeless device. Hans was told that it can do age regression and progression but there were several buttons on it with strange symbols but Hans knew the symbols came from the Yugoslian language of the United Emirates of New Usco on another planet Marbump. However, he couldn’t possibly understand but a Yugoslian alien scientist had kindly shown him some buttons. Although he had been told to return the Lifeless device after a few days.

When Hans did go in his house from his car, he greeted his wife, Susan, their two children, Donna, 11 and Ben, 7, and Hans went straight to his master bedroom.

When he closed the bedroom door, he then sat down on a bed and took the device out of his briefcase. He then examined it carefully. It was a red cubic device with nine gold buttons with symbols on each side. At the top of the device there was a small yellow circle that meant a light that he was told it could brighten sharply.

At some points, Hans put the device on the night table and he called his wife to come in.

When Susan went in the room and closed the door, she sat down beside Hans.

"What is it, Hans?" Susan asked curiously.

"It’s Halloween, isn’t it?" Hans began, "Well I have a surprise for you."

"What is it you have?" asked Susan excitedly.

"Wait, can you stand up please, love?" Hans requested.

Susan did as she was asked. "And can you take off all your clothes, love?" Hans asked.

Then Susan took all her work clothes off and stood naked in front of her husband.

"OK, Live, Close your eyes until I will tell you to open them. And don’t move a muscle yet," said Hans coolly.

"All right, my dear, I’ll do what you say," replied Susan.

"Good," Hans said with a pleased expression on his face.

As Susan closed her eyes and stood still, he took the device from the table and aimed it at her.

Hans pressed one of gold buttons and there was a sudden flash of very bright yellow light shot out of the device and bathed Susan. Susan felt a very strong singling sensation shooting through her body.

After 30 seconds Hans released the gold button and the bright light faded, there stood a cute naked six-year-old girl with closed eyes. She had been regressed from her 36-year-old self.

"Open your eyes and look yourself in the mirror." Hans told Susan.

The tingling sensation had just stopped and Susan opened and saw her huge husband.

"What..." she was shocked because she had a high-pitched childlike voice and she immediately ran to the dresser to look up in the mirror. She became more stunned to see the image of a little girl staring back in the mirror.

"What have you done to me, Hans?" screamed Susan.

"Love, no time to explain what I have just done. Let’s say I use the device to make you young and I only thought you might like to join with our children to do trick and treats tonight, and then I can restore you to your normal self," said Hans with an evil grin.

"Please change me back right now. I don’t wanna be a little girl!" whined Susan.

"No, Love, I said that I’ll change you back next few days until I go back to work. Please understand, my boss will feak out if he finds out I change you back that you ask. He insisted this is only a test on humans for the Lifeless society," said Hans with a cold glare at his youthened wife.

Susan was mortified, as she know there was nothing she could do.

Hans took out a costume from his briefcase and gave them to her. It is a wolf costume that Susan dressed years ago but she hadn’t dressed it for a long time.

"Can you please dress the costume, little girl," asked Hans with a grin.

"’K, Hans," squeaked Susan defiantly.

Susan dressed the costume and Hans said "Oh you look cute on your costume, now go and join your children, Tell them I am busy with some paperwork for the Yurio. Have a great time to night."

Then Susan left the bedroom and went downstairs to the living room where her children sat on a sofa chatting about going to knock the doors of houses tonight. Ben dressed up as a goblin and Donna dressed as a wicked witch.

Susan sat on a chair and interrupte her children’s conversation. The children stopped to stare at her in surprise.

"Who are you?" demanded Donna.

"You know I’m your mother but your father tricked me as I am a kid but don’t you recognize me?, said Little Susan.

"No," said Ben and Donna in unison, "Are you really our mommy? You look like a little girl."

"Yes I am, daddy wanted me to tell you that he was very busy doing paperwork. So can we go out and knock the doors for tricks and treats?" asked little Susan impatiently.

"Oh yes but I don’t believe it, mom," stammered Donna.

"Then let’s go now," Announced Ben.

So three went out in the night air and saw some children passing about carrying bags of candy. They went to house after house, they did get bags of candy and when they were about to go to the next house , a strange figure approached to them. When it was close enough to be seen clearly, it was a small anien dressed in red robes and long cloak.

"Hello, all of you" the alien buzzed in a thick, creepy voice. "I’m a Lifeless scientist from the Yurio. I do chemistry and biology and you see why I’m here. Well I wanted Little Susan to join the little party that I just set up for some discussion. Does it sound?"

"Yes, I would like to come with you," shrieked Little Susan.

"Then follow me, and you, Donna and Ben, can carry on doing trick and treats. We won’t be long and we’ll come back and find you anyway. Thanks!" said the Lifeless scientist calmly.

So Little Susan followed the Lifeless scientist , leave her children to carry on doing tricks and treats. They turned the corner and headed to the park. The park was dark with no lights but there was a moon shining in the dark sky.

"Sit down," commanded the Lifeless scientist, pointing a space of bench where two kids sat between the space so Susan could sit with them.

Susan did as she was told, on her right side, sat a three-year-old boy dressing up as a scary ghost and the left side sat a five-year-old girl dressing up as a devil.

"So, Everyone, I’m called Doxqai, but the name came from the Yoguslian language of my country on another planet Marbump. However, It may mean Damien or something in English and it is really difficult which one would have been granted. Now I shall explain what happened to you all now," muttered Doxqai.

"Oh Good," piped the five-year-old girl curiously.

"My dear Jo, now cal you please be quiet for a while and let me explain the situation," murmured Doxqai grimly.

The children nodded obediently.

"Well then," started Doxqai, "This is why I want to tell you all about your situations. Jo, you are the senior high-schooler, your sister put our blue liquid drug on your glass of water, you drank up and then regressed back to the kindergarten. Don’t worry wou’ll return to normal at midnight when the drug wear off. Now Mark, you’re 26 and working for the oil campany. You have been regressed by the Lifeless AR Gun (Which is used to give people an electric shock and they can become young depending on what age they may be. Please don’t worry you’ll return to normal within two days. I’m sorry you became a three-year-old toddler but your best friend used it because he wanted to see you doing tricks and treats and he has just been asked to return the AR gun to Yurio. Now Susan, your husband used the Lifeless device to regress you into a six-year-old girl. Don’t worry you’ll be restored within a few days and he’ll go back to work with device because he has to give it back. You see it is only a human test for our scientific project that our Lifeless Science Leader Dojx ya-patiz (known as Daniel Patrick the Lifeless Scientist who had been cursed by the oil experiments that he worked on and when he recovered, he won’t be back to his human self. Sorry cannot give more details at the moment.) Set it up. He has considered that and he will probably present it to our Lifeless president. He is originally from England and he looked like a good-looking young gentleman. He’s mixed-race but please don’t tell anyone. This is why we want to do some human experiments. I hope you have got information that I gave now. Do you understand?"

All the kids nodded.

"Good," chimed Doxqai, "Well, This is all the explanation. I know it’s creepy and mysterious but you may want to go to the Yurio and work there. Which of you, that would like to go and work at the Yurio?"

"I’d like to work for the Yorio rather than my job at the store," said Susan.

"Me too," piped Mark.

"I wouldn’t like to work for the Yurio," Said Ho, "I want a normal job when I moved to Florida. Thank you."

"OK then," mumbled Doxqai, "Firstly, I want to give you special Lifeless candy that we produce from New Usco. Don’t worry thay are not spiked magic. You might taste them different and delicious. They are very special. Secondly, I want you to remember what I explained the situation. Thirdly, you can go back doing tricks and treats. Is that all right?"

The kids nodded in agreement.

Doxqai gave each regressed ault a bag of gold wrapped candy and walked them out of the park. They found Ben and Donna walking back home, Doxqai stopped them and turned to Susan.

"Well, Susan," he said, "It was great to meet you. I’ll call your husband tomorrow morning to tell him that you want to join us. You can quit your job and don’t forget to fill the application form."

He handed a Lifeless application form to her and they bade. Doxqai turned to the other kids and walked them away. Soom they had gone, Susan torned to her children and said, "Let’s go home then."

So they walked to their house and went in the living room. There was Hans sitting on a chair reading a newspaper.

Three sat down on the sofa, Susan called out, "Hey, my dear!"

Hans looked up at her and asked "Have you a great time tonight? Love?"

"Yeah, I had a Lifeless meeting with Doxqai and he gave me special Lifeless candy," said Little Susan.

"Oh good. Well I must read for a bit so you can have your candy and share with your kids," muttered Hans, going back reading the paper.

Susan took out a special bag of ten gold wrapped candy. She unwrapped one of them and took a bite. It tasted very sweet and juicy. She gave two more to Ben and Donna.

When they ate the special candy, Donna Said, "It’s very delicious and I wonder if I could get some."

"The candy tastes great," cried Ben, "I wanna more."

"The Lifeless Candy are very rare and you only get them from the Yurio but they costs a little expensive. Maybe one day we could get them if we visit the Yurio in the future," explained Susan.

It was 11:45 PM so the children went to bed and Susan sat beside Hans on the couch.

"Well," began Hans, "I’ll take care of everything if you don’t mind. I’ll be home for afew days so we could go our for some trips if you like while Donna and Ben are at school. After a few days I’ll return you to normal I promise. I have to give the device back to the Yurio. I see you have an application for the Yurio and I’m very surprised that you wanted to work with me toghater at the Yurio. What does it sound?"

"Fine with me," replied Susan.

"Good, I think we should go to bed now," said Hans, "It was great to have a Lifeless Halloween tonight. Then let’s go to bed."

So they went to bed.
