Chapter 1
One Wacked Halloween

Chapter Description: Teenagers! a Halloween Party!, Everybody getting really young!

Sam pulls his parent’s Ford Taurus into park in front of football coach Newbaby’s house. Coach Newbaby coaches the rival team Sam’s team just beat 37 to nothing. Sam leans across the seat and gives Katie a big kiss on the cheek. She doesn’t want to be here. Their team won the game tonight and they should be at the after game party not toilet papering a Coach’s house. The boys want to do a few tricks on Halloween. Boys will be boys.

Sam turns to his buddy Todd in the backseat. Sam’s got a trash bag full of spray paint and toilet paper ready to go. The three step out of the car and walk across the lawn. They are the perfect image of High school success, the boys in their letterman jackets and Katie in her cheerleader outfit. Sam and Katie look like blond twins the quarterback and cheer captain. Todd’s a big brown haired linebacker. They walk confidently up to the old large house.

Sam and Todd dig out the toilet paper and tangle it around the front porch. The light comes on. The kids are so engrossed in their vandalism they don’t notice the front door swing open. They don’t notice Mrs. Newbaby until she fake coughs. The boys are caught red handed with the toilet paper hanging from the tree and a roll in each hand. Katie’s holding the bag.

?Aren’t you kids a little young to be Trick or Treating?’

Mrs. Newbaby gives them a mock angry look and sighs.

The boys almost soil their pants and Katie her panties.

Mrs. Newbaby breaks the awkward moment by lifting her candy filled hands out of the plastic cauldron she’s carrying. She dumps handful after handful of candy into Katie’s open trash bag right on top of the spray paint and toilet paper. She fills the whole bag up.

Mrs. Newbaby turns to walk back inside. She asks the kids behind her to clean up before they go.

The three kids give each other a ?what was that’ look and run back to the car. They peel out of park and speed down the road.

?Oh my gosh that was too weird’ Katie throws the trash bag in the back seat. Sam’s freaked out too, ?yeah no more tricks tonight let’s just go to the party.’

A few blocks down Katie spots her baby brother, she yells out, ?stop the car that’s Kevin.’ Todd opens the backseat so Kevin can jump inside. The car gets back on the road and towards the party.

?What’s wrong with you guys you look freaked out,’ Kevin’s taking off his home made Iron Man mask.

?Nothing, eat some candy, where heading to a party,’ Katie puffs, she forgot when they pulled over how annoying Kevin is at parties.

Todd mumbles an offer of candy to Kevin with his mouth full. You don’t have to ask Kevin twice. The boys are pigging out in the back seat the rest of the way to the party.

It’s not a hard party to find. All the lights are on, the music is blasting the neighbor hood, and the yard is littered with teenagers. When they pull up Sam opens the door for Katie and walks her in with his arm around her. They make pauses to smile and wave at the other cool kids. Todd and Kevin lag behind still munching on their giant bag of candy and offering some to all the kids they pass. Sam’s got his eye on Katie and the other girls at the party he doesn’t care but Katie thinks the other two boys are acting really weird. They’re hunched over and giggling like a couple of drunken monkeys.

Inside the house everybody’s dressed up like a pimp, a vampire, a sexy nurse or a French maid, there are some more football players and cheerleaders but it’s not a costume.

The four make their way around the whole party. Sam and Katie talk with all their friends Todd and Kevin keep throwing candy around and giggling. When Katie and Sam are sure everyone knows they’re here Katie leads Sam up the stairs to the parent’s bedroom. Everyone sees them and knows they’re a couple and they’re going to talk about it.

They walk past a bunch of couples who are trying to decide if they’re going to make out. Sam gives most of the guys a ?fox in the chicken coop grin’ when Katie pulls him in the bedroom and shuts the door behind them.

A few minutes later Sam’s got Katie’s skirt and blouse off and she’s got him worked up and ready to go even further. She wants him too until she gets distracted. She tries to start again but her curiosity overcomes her. Katie gets redressed and turns her back on an excited Sam.

?What is it?’ As Sam watches from the bed Katie unlocks and peaks out the door.

?Where is everybody?’ Katie walks out of the room to look around. Todd lies on his back and waits for Katie to come back to bed. When she doesn’t return after a while he grabs his jacket and goes looking for her.

There’s nobody up on the second floor. Todd gets cautious and creeps his way to the stairs.

At the bottom of the stairs he sees Katie. She’s not hard to spot. She’s on the middle of the room towering over a crowd of little boys and girls. Katie looks confused she’s spinning around looking for something. Todd dashes down the stairs pushing little kids aside to get to Katie.

He hugs her from behind. ?Everybody got little.’

All around them their High school friends are giggling little boys engulfed by their oversized pimp jackets tugging the hems of little girls falling out of their adult sized naughty nurse outfits. They’re all having so much fun and the whole thing is freaking Todd and Katie out.

Sam reaches down and pulls a piece of candy from a little boy’s hand. The little boy was one of Todd’s drinking buddies an hour ago. Sam realizes it’s the candy Mrs. Newbaby gave them.

Katie looks horrified. Todd tries his best to calm her by stroking her shoulders. She almost cries when she asks, ?where’s Kevin?’ She dashes around the room looking for her baby brother.

Sam does his best to keep up with the worried girl. In the kitchen they find the trash bag lying on the floor. Next to it is Kevin’s home made Iron Man costume. Katie stirs it. It’s empty. Katie bursts out sobbing. Todd freezes, did Kevin just disappear?

?Hey, what are you crying about, huh?’ A very young boy shouts out from underneath the kitchen table.

Katie doesn’t stop sobbing when she asks, ?Kevin?’

Young Todd stands up and props his chin on the table top. He smiles big. ?Nope guess again.’

Sam crawls under the table while Katie tries to get Todd to tell her where her brother is. When Sam comes back up the smiling naked baby in his hands stops Katie’s angry interrogation short.

Katie wipes tears from her eyes and cradles her baby brother. ?Kevin?’ She does that laugh/cry thing girls do sometimes. ?Todd, we’ve got to fix this.’ She carries baby Kevin with her into the living room and wades through their rejuvenated peers. Surrounding her the children keep getting younger while they greedily feast on handfuls of candy. Many of them start to fall out of their skirts and jeans and spill onto the floor giggling helplessly. ?We’ve got to fix all of this now!’

Todd leads the way, right out the door, into the car and back to the Newbaby’s house. Katie holds on to baby Kevin in the passenger seat. She spends the trip making playful faces and talking silly to make him laugh. Todd’s knuckles are white from griping too hard he’s thinking about how he’s going to make Mrs. Newbaby give them the cure.

When the car stops Todd doesn’t even kill the engine he jumps out and advances on the house. He’s banging on the door by the time Katie catches up with him.

Mrs. Newbaby answers the door in her bathrobe. She smiles but it doesn’t match the look of surprise in her eyes. ?It’s late. We don’t have any more candy.’

Todd pushes past her opening a way for Katie to follow. Standing in the living room they turn back to defiantly face Mrs. Newbaby.

She surrenders. ?I see you want something else.’ She turns her back on them and locks the door. She calls to her husband. ?They’re back dear, just like you said they would be!’

The triumphant look on the kid’s faces disappears when Coach Newbaby walks in and stands next to his wife. He’s making a show of controlling his anger. ?So winning the game wasn’t enough for you was it? No, you had to come here, scare my wife, vandalize my house, scare my wife! You had to act like a bunch of babies!’ He gives them a scolding glare. ?SIT DOWN!’

Coach Newbaby is very practiced at giving orders. Before they know what they’re doing the two kids are seated in the couch. This isn’t how Todd thought it would go. He thought he would walk in and bully helpless Mrs. Newberry into handing him an antidote. He doesn’t even have time to think of a new plan before Coach Newbaby starts yelling again. ?You two are going to EAT THAT CANDY and be THE LITTLE BABIES you proved you are GOT IT!’

Mrs. Newbaby is standing right in front of them offering the bowl of candies. Katie looks nervously at Todd to see what they should do. Todd looks like he’s going to pee himself then cry. Katie puts her shaky hand into the bowl and pulls out a candy.

Not satisfied with how slow the kids are responding Coach Newbaby stomps right in front of them. ?NOW BABIES EAT THE CANDY!’

Katie fidgets her wrapper open and puts the candy in her mouth. She starts to chew. At the same time Todd reaches for a candy. A few more shouts from the Coach and the kids are speed eating. Mrs. Newbaby takes baby Kevin so Katie can eat quickly like she’s told. The handsome couple gets younger and younger while they hastily unwrap their treats and shovel them into their mouths. Mrs. Newbaby dutifully removes the kid’s jackets as they get too big.

They’re now enjoying the sweet candy. Their short legs kicking excitedly from the sugar rush. They giggle and Katie feeds one to Todd now he feeds one to Katie.

Coach Newbaby kisses his wife on the cheek and wanders off to his home office. Mrs. Newbaby can handle these two now. He’s not very interested in babies. He’s got a whole new football season to plan.

Mrs. Newbaby delights in feeding the happy little children all the candy they crave. They get younger and younger happily regressing back into their worry free past. They slip out of their clothes and fall onto their backs giggling helplessly.

The doorbell interrupts Mrs. Newbaby’s fun. She carries baby Kevin with her as she answers the door. Three little boys dressed like superheroes shout, ?Happy Halloween!’
