Shoulda stuck with ramen

Chapter Description: Naruto gets a surprise after eating a strange fruit. First storie so tell me ways to improve.

About 1 year after Sasuke Uchiha left the village Hidden in the Leaves, Naruto Uzamaki and Sakura Haruno set out to the village Hidden in the Mist for a break in their grueling training. When they were 1 day away from the Great Naruto Bridge they set up camp. Naruto went off to forage and came back with a strange blue fruit the size of an apple. "Sakura, have you ever seen a fruit like this?" asked Naruto. "I’ve never seen it in any medical book. We shouldnt eat..." Said Sakura stoping as Naruto swallows the fruit whole. "What did you say Sakura?" "Oh never mind." Said Sakura with a sigh. After putting out the fire and going to bed Naruto’s body started to change. The next morning, Sakura (who always wakes up first) noticed that the lump in Naruto’s sleeping bag got smaller. Curious she pulled back the balanket and saw that Naruto has regressed into a 5 year old! His clothing being much to big pooled around his body. Waking up, Naruto notices Sakura is towering over him. Surpised he said "Sakura howth jew gets so..." stopping mid sentance at the sound of his voice. Looking down he sees his jacket and pants are huge and his black t-shirt is covering his entire body. Running over to a nearby lake with difficulty he notice what had happened. "Whaaaaaa!" he yells scaring the entire forest. Cleaning up camp Naruto’s pack is bigger than he is! To prideful to ask Sakura for help he tries to walk with it but it ends up falling on him squishing him. "Sakura help!"he cries. Sakura easily picks up the pack and starts carrying it with ease thanks to the strength tsunade helped her get. Narutos precious headband is also much to big for him so he is forced to wear it like a belt around his huge t-shirt. Walking also was a task since his t-shirt went over his feet tripping him. Landing with a thud tears well up in his eyes when Sakura picks him up and puts him on her back with ease. To surprised and humilated to say anything he let her carry him. Upon entering the village people started to stare at them. Most remebering Sakura and Naruto for saving their village, others just surprised to see a child dressed like that and have an headband. Getting to Tazuna’s home Naruto got off of Sakura to save a little humilation. Entering the house Tazuna greets Sakura joyfully. "Sakura! How have you been?" Glancing at Naruto he asks "who’s the kid?". Slowly Sakura "He is.... Naruto" Looking at the child a second time see’s the resemblance laughs as he says "Naruto? I guess calling you short now would an understatement (Pun!)" Walking over to Naruto, he picks him up. Naruto surpised yells "Waaahh!?!?" Tsnami hearing the commotion walks into the room.Seeing Sakura she says "Hey Sakura! It’s been a long time. Where is Naruto?" Seeing the child Naruto she runs over and starts pinching his cheeks. "Aww he so cute! What your name?" She says in baby talk. Naruto diffcultily says his name. Tsnami, taken aback see’s the resemblance and exclaims "Naruto? Is that really you? What happened to you!" Naruto (whos cheeks still hurt) says "I ated a wierd fruit and i goth smaller." Noticeing that he is only wearing an oversized t-shirt leaves the room coming back shortly after with blue children clothes that have a teddy bear on the front. Naruto hesitatily accepts. Elsewhere in the village Inari is rushing home hearing that Naruto is back. Running into his home is runs straight into Naruto knocking Naruto down. Looking down upon the smaller child he exclaims "Naruto!?!?" Naruto standing up see’s that even Inari towers over him. Inari unable to belive that his hero looks like he should still be in diapers!

3 days later Naruto and friends are still trieing to figure out how to change naruto back. Naruto is still trieing to deal with being 5. People treat him like a little kid, he is to small to reach anything, and, worst of all, he cant finish a single bowl of ramen!!! Naruto and Sakura went shopping trying to see if the villagers have anything that could be useful in turning him back when Sakura notices a strange ninja appeared at the village gates. He was clad in a big black tattered cloak and a hood that covered his face. Suddenly he starts performing handsigns, that to Sakura looked like a fool pretending to be a ninja. Abuptly the strange ninja put his hands out to the air and a sound starts emitting from his hands. Everyone except for the young children of the village (since their ears werent devolped enough) was in intense pain. Naruto being to young hear the sound is confused when everyone starts yelling in pain and covering their ears. Naruto looking around see’s the strange ninja is the one not in pain. Naruto runs towards him and tries to punch him but is easily stroke him down. Retreating 30 feet he tries to perform shadow clone jutsu but his 5 year old fingers are clumsy. The ninja closes the gap to only 10 feet when Naruto finally performs the jutsu. Thanks to the demon fox Naruto was able to summon a hundred clones of himself. The ninja tries to run but is quickly hit by an uppercut. Falling down opens up his cloak which reveals wires and gadgets all over his body, the two devices on either hand that made the sound, and a small basket of the strange blue fruit. Upon seeing the fruit Naruto yells "So your the one that did this to me!!" and starts advancing on the cowardly ninja. But suddenly Naruto’s 5 year old body gives out because of all the stress. He falls to ground asleep when Sakura catches him. Setting him gently to the ground she turns on the ninja. She says threatenly "Tell me how to reverse the effects or you will be wishing he didnt fall asleep" punching the wall behind him, cracking pieces of it off. The coward says frightened "you drink the juices to reverse it! Please don’t hurt me!!"

The next day the regular Naruto and Sakura leave the village waving goodbye to everyone. The cowardly ninja is now only a 5 year old himself and Tsnami promised to raise him right. After about a hour of walking Sakura turns to Naruto and says "I bet that taught you not to eat strange things" just as naruto scarfed down a wierd plant.
